A rapper who is expecting his 13th baby at just 25 years old, has sparked an online debate about how it could have happened.

NBA YoungBoy is a well-known musician, who built up a following after releasing eight mixtapes from 2015 to 2017.

Born Kentrell DeSean Gaulden and known professionally as YoungBoy Never Broke Again or NBA YoungBoy, the rapper has always been known to share the truth about his life in his lyrics.

Once, he sent the internet into a spin after declaring that he has herpes, a sexually transmitted disease with no cure.

Claiming that the mother of one of his children, Jania, gave him the virus within the song’s lyrics, NBA YoungBoy was open and honest about his struggles with it.

However, after the rapper made headlines about his plans to have a third child with this wife, in a verse from his new track ‘If You Need Me’, many began to calculate just how many children that would now mean he has... 13.

Over on social media, people were divided on how it could be possible for a 25-year-old to have that many children.

One person asked X: “Did he start having kids at 12? How tf do you have 13 kids when you gotta wait atleast 9 months in between.”

However, let’s not forget that YoungBoy is a ‘boy’ here.

A person immediately recognised the flaw in this logic, replying: “Hes not the one getting pregnant bro.”

Another thought the same thing, writing: “9 women can make 1 baby in 1 month Now do the math.”

Someone else wrote: “Men don’t need to wait 9 months…”

A fourth asked the original poster: “Yeah, because clearly he gave birth to all 13 himself, back-to-back, like a maternity factory. Ever heard of different women, or is biology just a rumor where you’re from?”

Even though many still wanted to know when his parenting began, it’s already been addressed long before.

According to his song, ‘Rebel’s Kick It’, the question to when he first became a father was answered loud and clear.

In the lyrics, the rapper said: “Had my first baby at 16, no Plan B, I had one dream.”

Since welcoming Kayden, his first son, he’s gone on to father 11 more, with another one on the way.

The rapper shares his eldest child with Nisha Keller, as per TMZ, and although they separated after Kayden's birth, they went on to get back together further down the line.

YoungBoy's second son, Taylin, was then born in March 2017, who he shares with ex-girlfriend Nia.

According to the outlet, he then reunited with ex Starr Dejanee, and they welcomed his third baby son, Kamiri, the year after.

It’s reported that he also helps to raise his ex’s son, who he allegedly believed to be his own, but a DNA test proved that he was not the father.

Then came Jania Meshell.

The rapper was allegedly caught body-slamming her on camera in February 2018, and he was then arrested on a kidnapping warrant shortly afterwards.

He pled guilty to misdemeanor simple battery family violence and wasn’t able to contact her again, however, the pair reconciled and welcomed a son named Kacey in February 2019 before breaking up.

Enter Nisha again.

She gave birth to his first daughter, Armani, in June 2020 and his girlfriend Drea Symone, gave birth to a baby girl named Kodi five months later.

Again, another ex, Yaya Mayweather, gave birth to a son called Kentrell Jr. in January 2021.

The rapper then met Jazlyn Mychelle in 2020 and married her in 2023, with their first daughter together being born in August 2021.

From there, she then had their son Klemenza the following September.

He also allegedly fathered two children with two separate women in 2023, which actually brings his total to the same number of kids that Nick Cannon has: 12.

While he waits to have this third, he’s got plenty kids to keep him occupied in the meantime.
