Imagine forgetting about a whole new version of a song that you produced?!

That's what happened to Eminem, when he revealed back in 2014 that there's a whole other version of 'Lose Yourself' that he just forgot about working on.

It must be nice having so many songs at your disposal that you can just put one to the back of your mind.

It's been more than 22 years since the release of the iconic track, 'Lose Yourself', which first featured on the 8 Mile soundtrack in 2002.

The track featured the now infamous lyrics about 'mom's spaghetti' which spawned a thousand memes.

Meme fame aside, the song even won an Oscar for Best Original Song in 2003.

He even appeared to perform the song at the Super Bowl Halftime show, but the performance could have been very different if he released a different version of the track.

Back in 2014, he confirmed the existence of a 'scratch' version of the song that he has no recollection of.

The video was shared on the YouTube channel 'EminemMusic', and showed the rapper dropping the bombshell about the existence of another version of 'Lose Yourself' that he doesn't 'even remember recording'.

He continued: "I don't remember where I was at when I recorded it.

"I don't remember any of the first verse. I don't remember."

The video featured a teaser of this forgotten version, and included a clip which said: "If I was frozen inside of a moment/If I could capture time inside a capsule."

There was also a caption on the video, which reads: "The full story behind 'Lose Yourself' coming soon."

Fans raced to the comment section to share their excitement about the elusive clip.

One commented wrote: "Damn, now I really wanna hear the full version of the parts of 'Lose Yourself' that never made the cut!!!"

Another fan raved: "Good f**king God. One of his best songs could possibly be about to get better!"

A third viewer of the video exclaimed: "I love the idea of a hidden masterpiece by Eminem, he is by far one if the best rappers to date, you don't see him get over hyped by "the game" he just makes raps about him, I just really want this track it sounds sweet and if even the creator can't remember then it must be epic."

This viewer said excitedly: "The fact that he can write 2 versions of the same song, have both versions be impeccable, and that he had totally forgotten writing this version is just mind-boggling to me."

"This is a throw away demo and is still better than 90% of what is released today. His rhyming ability on tempo is the best I’ve ever heard and is still is to this day," praised one listener.
