The first trailer for The Flash with Ezra Miller has been released. You can check it out below.

The trailer, which was revealed just before the start of the Super Bowl, features not only Miller in the title role, but also Michael Keaton returning as Batman.

That’s the real big news, for anyone who remembers his performance in the Batsuit from way back when.

He even states ‘I’m Batman’ during his brief appearance, which is sure to bring back a delightful bit of nostalgia to Bat-fans, young and old.

Warner Bros. actually brought out a teaser trailer for the film all the way back in October 2021, but it’s taken until now for everyone to finally get a proper look.

It’s also the first time we’ve seen Keaton as Batman.

There are a few other comebacks on show as well, with Ben Affleck also seen playing Batman, as well as Michael Shannon appearing as General Zod, who he famously played in Man of Steel.

That gives you a bit of an idea of what we can expect from the film.

Miller plays Barry Allen, who has to travel back in time if he is to save his family by altering the events of the past.

However, not everything goes to plan – it would be a boring film if it did, right? – and he becomes trapped in a world where there aren’t any superheroes anymore, with the evil General Zod pulling the strings.

So, he needs to get Michael Keaton to come out of his retirement and don the famous PVC suit once again, as well as helping to rescue Supergirl, played by Sasha Calle.

The film has been hailed by James Gunn - who is overseeing the DC Universe's rebirth - as the moment that everything changes within that universe, paving the way for a new slate.

It’s been a tough road to this point for the movie, with Miller facing a number of controversies and legal issues including disorderly conduct and second-degree assault charges.

He has also been accused of burglarising a house in Vermont, too, but he claims those controversies are now behind him.

Anyway, back in August 2022, Miller released a statement in which he said that the production had ‘gone through a time of intense crisis’.

He added: “[I] want to apologise to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behaviour.

“I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”
