Fans of a hugely popular series have vowed never to watch it again after a mindblowing twist in the latest season.

The fourth season of the drama arrived on Hulu this week, with 10 episodes ready to stream.

The show is set in Chicago and follows a talented chef named Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto (played by Jeremy Allen White) who inherits his family's sandwich shop after the death of his brother.

We are, of course, talking about The Bear and season four picks up with the long-awaited review of the restaurant in the Chicago Tribune.

But there was one part of the show in particular that viewers were particularly divided on.

Now, if you're yet to watch the fourth season of The Bear, this next part contains spoilers.

In the third episode of the latest instalment, Carmy and Claire (played by Molly Gordon) finally catch up after *that* moment in season two that saw Carmy lock himself in the walk-in fridge and began ranting that his relationship was distracting him - not realising Claire could hear every word.

Following an evening shift at the restaurant, Carmy ends up catching the train to Claire's house where he knocks on the door and the pair end up sitting on the step for a chat.

“I’m not going to sit here and help you try to do the right thing," says Claire.

Carmy replies: “I said what I said because it was easy to say. And the way I feel around you is really hard.

"It made me feel like I was on fire.”

Claire asks Carmy if that was a bad thing, and he responds: “No, it was the best."

Despite fans waiting ages to see what would happen between them, many were disappointed, with some even vowing not to watch the show anymore, especially as the pair didn't end up reconciling.

Meanwhile, others seemed to be a little fed up of the storyline.

One wrote: "WHY ARE THEY STILL PUSHING CARMY AND CLAIRE!?!?"

While another said: “If he ends up with Claire I’m never watching this program again. I’m serious. It doesn’t make sense. I don’t care. Even if Sydcarmy doesn’t happen, Claire and Carmy cannot be endgame.”

And a third added: “So based on reviews I don’t have to watch The Bear anymore cause the plot is not advancing and Carmy still with Claire.”

While a fourth wrote: "Fell asleep through the carmy and claire episode."
