Pete Davidson has been tipped to leave Saturday Night Live after joining back in 2014 and staying on for seven seasons.

Davidson was just 20 when he joined the long-running comedy show and has since gone on to become a household name. But it has emerged that he will leave the show at the end of this season, according to a new report in Variety.

His final appearance is thought to be this Saturday (21 May), when the 47th season of Saturday Night Live draws to a close.

Davidson isn’t the only one of its stars reported to be leaving as Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon and Kyle Mooney are also expected to bow out at the end of the show’s current run, according to the same report.

NBC declined to make producers available for comment when contacted by Variety.

During his run on the show, Davidson has become as famous for his love life as he has his comedy.

In case you’ve been living under a rock and have somehow missed it, he’s currently dating Kim Kardashian with their high-profile relationship regularly hitting headlines.

Their relationship has also saw Davidson dragged into an ongoing feud with Kim’s ex-husband Kanye West, with whom she shares four children.

During a recent gig at the Netflix Is A Joke Festival, Davidson poked fun at their ongoing feud.

Making reference to the fact that West had previously claimed Davidson had AIDs, he said: “I had an AIDs scare this year,” before joking that he had gone to get himself tested as West is ‘genius’.

He also joked about West’s continued attempts to win back his wife, including the time he sent her a whole truck full of roses.

Davidson said: "Am I the only one who secretly hopes Kanye will go full Mrs. Doubtfire?"
