After waiting over a year - and with a whole spin-off having been made - the best superhero show is coming back.

The Boys is an amazingly gory comic depiction of corruption and power-struggles between Vought International and their compound V creations.

But you won’t have to wait much longer after the creators released a little snippet for us all to see before the big premiere of the highly anticipated fourth Season.

Teasing us yesterday (Dec 1), The Boys X profile claimed: “About this time tomorrow, you’re gonna open this app to watch the S4 teaser trailer.”

“It’s full of nothing but rainbows and butterflies.”

“Who are we kidding, it’s full f***in’ madness after this first frame.”

The post contained a still image of a very recognisable character, the one and only Homelander.

But this picture makes a lot of sense as to where the new season might be taking its direction after the shocking ending of Season 3.

*Spoilers Incoming*

The shift between Homelander’s ‘All American Boy’ image and his true identity as an actual madman was depicted in a way that many fans may not have expected.

The picture of Homelander is very telling.

After a group of protesters accidentally hit his son with a car, the hero went on to murder those responsible, marking his evil era in the public's eye - which continued into the spin-off Gen V.

After Homelander’s behaviour was hinted at the very beginning of the show, from drinking breast milk to his violent means of keeping everyone in line, or even the truth of what he did to Billy Butcher’s wife - this escalation was bound to happen.

But what does it mean for Season 4? After all, the big baddies have already left the show, considering Stormfront’s tongue-in-cheek moment and Soldier Boy’s frosty nap.

But it didn’t stop social media users from losing their minds as soon as the tweet dropped.

One X user couldn’t contain their excitement over the past week, commenting: “THE SEASON 4 TEASER AND GTA 6 TRAILER within the same 5 days?????”

Another emphasised their love of the show through the only way how, capital letters: “FINALLY THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER FOR THE BEST SHOW ON TV”.

Someone else claimed that the post seemed a little like it was written by a character: “Why does this caption sounds like it’s written by Soldier boy!?”

Though one person theorised that the returning show was going to take a surprising turn in the form of a new and exciting romance.

They wrote: “It's time to watch The boys back in Action.”

“Butcher and homelander Romance Gonna blow up Minds.”

Even though the trailer is so close to dropping, Amazon Prime has yet to confirm The Boys' release date; however, it’s expected to come in the first half of 2024.
