Even with the release of a two-minute long trailer, details surrounding the release still remain rather vague.
That's to say; the trailer doesn't give away every single plot detail.
Due for release in 2026, it's Spielberg's first release since 2022 drama The Fabelmans.
His previous alien movies include 1977's Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial in 1982 and 2005's War of the Worlds.

The new film - called Disclosure Day - stars Emily Blunt, who previously led the cast in 2016's The Girl on the Train, and is produced by Spielberg's production company Amblin Entertainment.

Here's everything we know now the trailer has finally released.

The movie appears to be about an alien universe being 'disclosed' to the world.

Its teaser opens with the ominous question: "If you found out we weren't alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you?"
It then shows Blunt as a Kansas City weather woman, who begins stuttering, choking and making strange clicking noises as she begins her live broadcast.
The teaser also shows Josh O'Connor's character insisting that 'people deserve to know the truth', revealing his intention to orchestrate 'complete disclosure, for the entire world, all at once'.
He later stands in what looks like a crop circle, reinforcing the film’s extraterrestrial undertones.

Another scene hears Blunt scream in fear that 'they're coming', as armed police storm the city.
Later on, a moose and a bird enter a young girls' bedroom. Blunt is seen walking with them into a house in a dream-like sequence.
Another character asks: "Why would he make such a vast universe yet save it only for us?"
