Everyone has forgotten about the best Christmas movie ever

"A must watch this holiday season"

You've all been missing out on the best Christmas movie of them all.

Yes, Elf, The Polar Express and The Grinch are very much up there, but there's one throwback film which many of us viewed in our childhoods which has been forgotten about for far too long.

A 65-minute Christmas movie which recreates all of the classic festive tales but with the cast of Disney icons Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto? Alongside some mini stories with the chipmunks Chip and Dale?

You're speaking my language.

It's Mickey Mouse like you've never seen him before.

And whether you're a parent and need a distraction for your child while you try not to burn the turkey, or if you're simply a six-year-old trapped in a 23-year-old's body like me, this film has you covered.

Right, I won't gate-keep the best Christmas movie of all time any longer.

Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse is the only thing you need to put on your Christmas list this year.

Not only does it act as a nostalgic reminder of the good old days where you had to take a videotape out of its box and slot it into a machine to flick onto the right source on your TV to finally connect, but it's also one of Disney's finest works to date - and yes, I say this even after seeing Encanto and Frozen.

A synopsis for the movie reads: "When a huge snowstorm leaves everyone stranded, Mickey and all of his guests at The House Of Mouse, including Pooh, Belle, Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel and many more of his old and new friends, break out the cookies and hot chocolate to help Donald mend his tattered Christmas spirit.

With all your favourite Disney characters what more could you possibly want from Christmas this year?

"The fun starts when Minnie pulls out their favorite holiday home movies and everyone starts to reminisce.

"Their magical memories soon put everyone in the Christmas mood - even grumpy Donald, who ultimately becomes the star of the evening.

"Featuring four unforgettable holiday tales, including 'The Nutcracker,' 'Mickey's Christmas Carol,' 'Donald On Ice' and 'Pluto And The Christmas Tree,' plus an epic finale of 'The Best Christmas Of All,' this holiday treat is bound to become a tradition for you and your family."

And look, it's not just me who thinks the movie is pretty spectacular.

Move over Charles Dickens, Disney is taking over.

People have been flooding to social media to rave about Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse.

One X - formerly known as Twitter - user wrote: "Well, that made me feel all warm and fuzzy, and that’s something I needed in these trying times..."

"It’s criminal this show is not on Disney+," another added.

A third commented: "I'm gonna have to start throwing Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse near the top of the list for Christmas films. Classic Disney animations all topped with Mickey's A Christmas Carol. A must watch this holiday season."

"It’s hurting me and my homegirl* that Mickey’s Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse isn’t available on Disney+…like, I just wanna relive some childhood memories for an hour, damn *also me," a fourth wrote.

And a final - me - resolves: "You better go watch it, because it'll make you feel like a kid again - and isn't that pretty much the whole point of Christmas?"

You can currently rent Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse on Apple TV+, Amazon and YouTube.
