Fans of Forgetting Sarah Marshall think the movie's been 'ruined' as a result of recent scandals surrounding three cast members.

The 2008 release - directed by Nicholas Stoller - was a firm hit with rom-com lovers. However, as a result of scandals which have recently come to light relating to three of the film's main cast members, Forgetting Sarah Marshall has been swiftly moved off some viewer's 'Top Watch' lists.

The cast members in question? Jonah Hill, Mila Kunis and Russell Brand.

In the movie, Kunis stars as Rachel Jensen, a desk clerk who catches the eye of protagonist Peter Bretter; Brand plays Marshall's rockstar boyfriend, Aldous Snow, and Hill is the character of waiter and Snow-fan Matthew.

If you've been flying under the radar the last few months, you may not have heard about the scandal surrounding Hill, Kunis and Brand.

Hill hit headlines when his ex-girlfriend, Sarah Brady, shared alleged text messages between the pair, accusing him of 'emotional abuse'.

On 9 July, former Zoey101 star, Alexa Nikolas, also came forward on X - formerly known as Twitter - accusing Hill of assaulting her when she was 16-years-old, by 'slamm[ing her] to the door and shov[ing] his tongue down [her] throat'.

Legal representatives for Hill said it 'never happened' and branded Nikolas' allegations a 'complete fabrication'

Kunis came under fire when it was revealed she and husband Ashton Kutcher had written letters in support of That 70's Show co-star Danny Matherson - recently sentenced to 30 years in prison after being found guilty of two counts of rape.

Kunis and Kutcher both apologised in a video posted to Instagram, stating the letters were 'not written to question the legitimacy of the judicial system or the validity of the jury's ruling'. They also apologised to the victims if they'd 're-traumatised them' in 'any way'.

However, their apology was slammed as 'lawyered' and the celebrity couple later stepped down from their roles at the anti-child-sex-abuse organisation Kutcher co-founded.

Kunis' character is a front desk clerk who strikes up a relationship with Peter Bretter during his stay.

And finally we have Russell Brand - the comedian having been the subject of a special Channel 4 Dispatches programme about an investigation conducted by the channel, alongside The Sunday Tines and The Times.

The documentary - which first aired on Saturday, 16 September - has seen Brand accused of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse.

The comedian denied the allegations made against him in a video uploaded to YouTube, stating while he was 'very promiscuous' at the height of his fame, his relationships have always been 'consensual'.

Fans of Forgetting Sarah Marshall are flocking to social media in outrage over it having been 'ruined' by the three celebrities.

One user said: "F**kers ruined forgetting sarah marshall."

"Forgetting Sarah Marshall has just been ruined," another echoed.

A third commented: "[...] It's one of my favourite comedy films. Which is now ruined bc these celebrities are horrible people."
