Viewers 'work out' what Emma Stone said in brutal reaction to Jimmy Kimmel Oscars joke about Poor Things

It's fair to say that the Poor Things star was less than flattering about the host's joke.

Viewers have worked out what Emma Stone said after Jimmy Kimmel's jibe at Poor Things at the Oscars.

The star was caught saying something after Kimmel made the joke, and it's fair to say that, according to self-proclaimed lip readers on X, it was less than flattering.

Eagle-eyed viewers thought Stone said 'he's a pr*ck' to her husband Dave McCary as the audience applauded.

Kimmel had made a jab at the movie Poor Things, starring Stone in the loose reimagining of the story and themes of Frankenstein.

Playing a clip of the movie during his opening monologue, Jimmy joked: "Those were all the parts of Poor Things we were allowed to show on TV."

Some X users are convinced Stone called Kimmel a 'prick' after the jibe, with one saying she was the 'realest person in that theater' - if she did in fact make the comment.

Another said: "Jimmy Kimmel being slandered, LETS GOO. PLEASE DO MORE EMMA."

LADbible Group has contacted Stone's representative for a comment.

It wasn't the only moment that Kimmel's comedy drew a less than enthusiastic response from members of the audience.

During his opening speech, Kimmel had turned nominee at the time Robert Downey Jr. and made jokes about his struggles with addiction.

Kimmel quipped: "This is the highest point of Robert Downey Jr's long and illustrious career. Well, one of the highest points."

Kimmel didn't stop there either, as Downey Jr. pointed to his face in his seat as RDJ touched his nose.

Kimmel added: "Was that too on the nose or a drug motion you made?"

He then rowed things back a little, highlighting Downey Jr.'s many awards.

Kimmel said: "But look at him, he's so handsome, so talented, he's won every award there is to win.

"Is that an acceptance speech in your pocket or do you just have a very rectangular penis?"

RDJ's face may have looked like it could curdle milk during the monologue, but it's fair to say that things brightened up considerably later on when he took home the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Oppenheimer proved to be the biggest winner of the evening, with the film receiving some seven awards at the ceremony, including Best Picture.

Director Christopher Nolan also took home the award for Best Director, while star Cillian Murphy won best actor, and Robert Downey Jr. won Best Supporting Actor.

In his acceptance speech, Cillian Murphy said: "We made a film about the man who created the atomic bomb, and for better or worse we're living in Oppenheimer's world, so I'd really to dedicate this to the peacemakers everywhere."

Stone ended up a big winner as well, taking home the award for Best Actress for her performance in Poor Things.
