Fans of Platonic should add a 'heart-warming' Apple TV series boasting 94 percent ratings to their watch list.

Starring Seth Rogan and Rose Byrne, the drama-comedy series first landed on the streamer in 2023. And this month, it returned for its highly-anticipated second series, which has already racked up rave reviews.

Platonic delivers on its name; a TV series centered on former college besties of the opposite gender who reunite in midlife just as both their lives are falling apart.

Instead of spiralling into something more, they stay just friends - and what could’ve been a predictable will-they-won’t-they setup becomes a clever subversion of the romance trope instead.

The first series racked up a 96 percent Rotten Tomatoes score, as critics weighed in: "Even with bold swings and romance off the table, the rambunctious rapport between Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen makes Platonic an ideal relationship comedy."

The show's first two episodes debuted on August 6, with a new episode dropping every week until October 1.

But if you're looking for something else to get stuck into between episodes, then another Apple TV original is the perfect pick.

The show has earned a 94 percent Rotten Tomatoes score across both of its current seasons.

And it's so addictive, fans say they binge-watched each series in a night.

Like Platonic, the show has a strong focus on friendship, follows well-rounded, complex characters - played by a killer Hollywood cast - and is sprinkled with dark humor.

The show stars Jason Segal as a grieving therapist who's trying to piece his life together following the sudden death of his wife.

Struggling to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter and drowning in grief, he begins telling his clients exactly what he thinks - going against the principles of his profession.

His radical honesty shakes up the lives of his patients in wildly unexpected ways. Along the way, Jimmy finds support from his reluctant mentor Paul (Harrison Ford), who is battling Parkinson’s disease, and his loyal colleague Gaby (Jessica Williams), who’s dealing with her own recent divorce.

The series in question is called Shrinking, and it first landed on Apple TV in 2023, with its second season releasing in October 2024.

Its continued success led it to be renewed for a third instalment, which is rumored to be landing in early 2026.

Rating the show five stars, one social media user admitted: "It's rare I want to binge watch anything but I did... in one night. Shrinking is emotional, funny and above all great acting. Harrison Ford is surprising in this role... In fact all the actors have the best chemistry together."

"This series is special. Segal, Williams, and the legendary Harrison Ford are next level," a second agreed. "This may be my favorite show since Schitt's Creek which swept the Emmys a few years ago. This show is special. Every episode is a dream."

And a third viewer simply said: "Absolutely terrific and it never derails," as a fourth dubbed it 'heart-warming.'

Both seasons of Shrinking are streaming now on Apple TV.
