The 'king of horror' has spoken.

Stephen King, one of the greatest authors ever, has weighed in on what adrenaline junkies should watch on Netflix... and fans are all saying the same thing.

The 76-year-old has written 65 novels, most of which have been adapted into horror movies, so the man knows what he's talking about.

King is the author behind the terrifying horror It (2017) - which is based on the writer's 1986 novel.

In the book, the story follows seven children who are each haunted by an evil entity, which takes the form of a clown as it hunts its prey.

And while It was so terrifying, and such a success having grossed more than $700 million at the box office across the globe, that It Chapter Two was released four years later - landing over $473 million at the box office itself.

Taking to Twitter, King suggested a film to watch, which he himself surprisingly has nothing to do with... and you know it's going to be good if the 'king of horror' likes it.

He wrote: "Want a tight little thriller that will remind you of Ruth Rendell and Patricia Highsmith? Try I CAME BY (Netflix). It does the job."

It follows a young rebel who is part of an underground movement targeting rich people, spraying their homes with graffiti.

That is until he uncovers a secret at an esteemed judge's home... and then it gets wild.

Commenting on King's post, one user wrote: "Such a great film and Hugh Bonneville is a revelation in it.

"He has an ability to turn his eyes cold even when he is smiling which is chilling. As well as being fast-paced and entertaining it asks important questions about buried trauma and virtue signalling."

While another joked: "Never would have thought I would get a movie recommendation from Stephen King, but here we are. Thanks Twitter!"

Meanwhile, fans of the film took to the social media platform to share just how 'scary' they found the thriller.

Hailing the movie, one person said: "The scene where Hector Blake closes the ‘panic room’ door to say those things to the last cop was one of the scariest I’ve seen in a while.”

While another wrote: "'I came by' with Hugh Bonneville on Netflix. Just finished it. Scary good."

A third weighed in, saying: "If anyone out there. On Twitter Land. Wants to know why I can't sleep. I'm watching one of the most Scary Harrowing programmes ever. It's called I came by. On netflix.

"I keep having to pause it. And wait till I can carry on. That's why I can't sleep #rtitbot"
