Netflix viewers are hooked after rediscovering ‘addictive’ crime show deemed a ‘must watch’

Fans are re-watching the crime series, branding it 'absolutely brilliant'

When it comes to shows, I'd argue there are very few I would consider genuine 'must watch TV'.

As much as your coworker might insist over the water cooler, you can usually live without.

In the case of one Netflix show however, fans really are insisting you must watch this one.

While it's not a new release, fans have recently rediscovered it.

The show in question is called Queen of the South, a crime show with great reviews that is beloved by fans.

It follows Teresa Mendoza, who engages in a love affair with a member of drug cartel.

After he is murdered, she is forced to flee the country.

One post recently in the Netflix Bangers Facebook group asked for a recommendation of crime shows.

They said: "Recommend me a series with series of crimes. Killing, kidnapping, drugs- gangs and stuff. Even a movie. So bored."

While I for one think we should be doing a welfare check on this person and seeing if everything's alright at home - one of the top comments was Queen of the South.

Under the comment, another fan called the show 'the best'.

Anther post in the group featured someone putting "Well Well Well… Tell me more about this?" after one fan asked posted a promo image of the show.

100+ Facebook users rushed to the comments section to give their two pence on it.

One person said: "Watching this at the moment. On season 3. It's a good watch."

"Watched this a long time ago, it's really good. It's defo a must watch that's for sure," a second added.

"Amazing watched it twice and probably would watch again. Fully enjoyed amazing ending , miss the characters lol," a third remarked.

While a fourth quipped: "Just finished rewatching it, i had forgotten how good it is. Absolutely brilliant."

The fifth and final season of Queen of the South received an impressive 87 percent Rotten Tomatoes score.

Cristina Escobar, from RogerEbert.com, said: "Epically watchable... The final season is extremely well done, delivering our characters to their destinations in ways both satisfying and surprising."

Sydney Morning Herald's Brad Newsome said in their review: "Epically watchable... The final season is extremely well done, delivering our characters to their destinations in ways both satisfying and surprising."

While Alci Rengifo, from Entertainment Voice, wrote: "Queen of the South is about to settle scores, and we can be certain there will not be a single dull moment."
