A 92% rated Netflix series starring the original Wednesday Addams has been dubbed the 'most thrilling seasons of television this century.'

Jenna Ortega may have returned for Wednesday's second season on Wednesday August 6, but once you're done bingeing, then you should give your full attention to a series streaming on Netflix hailed an 'absolute must-watch.'

The TV show stars Christina Ricci, who as a child played Wednesday in the original 1991 The Addams Family movie and its 1993 sequel, Addams Family Values.

Its cast includes Hollywood legends, such as The Last of Us' Melanie Lynskey, Cape Fear's Juliette Lewis and Heroes' Tawny Cypress, to name just a few.

The first two seasons were recently added to Netflix in the US, where they have been viewed for a whopping 118 million hours according to Flix Patrol - and there's an easy way for UK viewers to watch it too.

The disaster drama is partly inspired by the real-life 1972 Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 crash - which the Netflix film Society of the Snow is based on.

The series follows two timelines as it unravels the story of a New Jersey high school girls' soccer team whose flight crashes over Canada en route to a championship.

Set in 1996, the first timeline follows the survivors as they endure 19 months in the wilderness, living through unimaginable conditions as their desperation to be found mounts.

The present-day timeline takes place in 2021, when these survivors, now in their 40s, find themselves haunted by their past and targeted by an anonymous blackmailer threatening to expose what happened.

The series first aired on Showtime in November 2021, with its second season following in March 2023.

As part of a licensing deal with Paramount, the both seasons are now on Netflix; the first joining last year and the second arriving this July.

Fans can also binge a third season - on Paramount+ - while it's also been greenlit for a fourth season, expected to premiere in late 2026 or early 2027.

US viewers can access Paramount+ for a $5.99 a month add-on over on Amazon Prime Video. UK viewers can sign up for a free seven-day Paramount+ trial through Prime, too - the perfect opportunity to binge-watch the show at no extra cost.

The series in question is called Yellowjackets - and its first run of episodes achieved a perfect 100 percent Rotten Tomatoes score from critics.

In their consensus, they summed it up as a 'a genre mashup that blends smoothly, [presenting] an absorbing mystery with plenty of sting'.

Across all three seasons, its score averages out at an impressive 92 percent.

One fan weighed in: "S1 of Yellowjackets was a revelation, and undeniably one of the best written and most thrilling seasons of television this century. Fresh faces, engaging personalities, and one of the most wonderfully-scary scripts I've seen as an adult."

A second social media hailed it an 'absolute must-watch,' adding: "I haven’t been this engaged in a TV show in a long time!"

A third echoed a similar sentiment, writing: "The first time in a while where I finished a whole season to the end..." as a fourth simply put it: "A must watch is a understatement."

The first two seasons of Yellowjackets are streaming now on Netflix, while the third season is available on Paramount+.
