Netflix fans have been left furious a much-loved sitcom dubbed the 'best show ever' will be leaving the popular streaming platform in just a matter of days.

Because new stuff is being added to Netflix all the time, TV series and film do have to leave the streamer on a weekly basis to make room for what is new.

A ton of titles have already left Netflix this month, leaving fans in disbelief as unfinished binges become a real problem.

The Good Place is one series set to leave Netflix next week, which has subscribers in disbelief given it boats an impressive 97 percent Rotten Tomatoes score.

Starring Kristen Bell, it follows saleswoman Eleanor Shellstrop, who finds herself in a heaven-like afterlife after passing away in a car crash.

Having lived a morally corrupt life, Eleanor soon realizes she was sent there by mistake and does everything in her power to remain in the show.

The Good Place ran on NBC between 2016 to 2020, spanning four seasons and a total of 53 episodes.

After releasing on Netflix in September 2020, The Good Place garnered a new following. It has pulled in an impressive 308 million hours of viewing between January 2023 and June 2025. But come September 26, the show will no longer be available on Netflix.

And with its removal impending, many have taken to social media to voice their concerns.

One person penned: "Dude good thing I just rewatched The Good Place WDYM leaving Netflix?!!?!?? What the f*** where am I supposed to rewatch it every summer."

A second added: "Why is The Good Place leaving Netflix, what the f***," while a third remarked: "The Good Place AND Brooklyn 99 are both leaving Netflix."

The news will certainly come as surprise considering The Good Place is still universally loved, evident through the reviews of the show on Rotten Tomatoes.

"Best show ever made! I've watched it over ten times all the way through and love it more with each rewatch," one review stated.

A second added: "A brilliant ending to an even more brilliant show that comes exactly when it needs to. You will leave this experience (hopefully) becoming a better person. If this show doesn't touch you - are you even human?"

And a third quipped: "One of my favorite endings to a show. The very end always makes me emotional in the best way."

The Good Place is available to stream on Netflix for a few more days.
