The series in question stars K-pop idol and actress Im Yoon-ah as Yeon Ji-yeong, a talented French cuisine chef who has risen to fame in the present day.
On the day she wins a major cooking competition, she is mysteriously transported back in time, through a solar eclipse, back in time.
More specifically, to the Joseon Dynasty; one of the longest-lasting dynasties in world history, ruling Korea for over five centuries between 1392 to 1897.

In the royal court, Ji-yeong’s modern cooking style shocks and amazes. She eventually becomes the palace chef for King Yi Heon (Lee Chae-min), who might have a reputation as a tyrant, but is also known for having an incredibly good taste.

As Ji-yeong adapts to palace life and court politics, she faces rivalries from favored concubine Kang Mok-ju, played by Kang Han-na, schemes from Prince Je Seon (Choi Gwi-hwa), and the mammoth task of winning the king’s trust and affection through her cooking.
The show in question, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, broadcasts on Korean network tvN as well as Netflix internationally.
