Stephen King has championed a 91 percent rated Netflix series hailed as 'unique and binge-worthy'.
The acclaimed author has had a huge year for his own adaptations - with three already debuting in 2025 and another three still to come.
The Monkey, The Life of Chuck and Prime Video series The Institute have already made waves, while The Long Walk hits theaters on Friday (September 12), It: Welcome to Derry debuts on HBO Max in October and The Running Man releases in November.

With countless TV series and movies based on his own work, King also enjoys weighing in on what’s worth watching.
And he recently caught up on a 2023 Netflix series directed by 'the Quentin Tarantino of horror'.

The show has been binge-watched for more than 296 million hours, as per FlixPatrol, so King was in good company.

Set across multiple timelines - 1953 to 1980 and 2023 - it tracks the rise of entrepreneurs Roderick (Bruce Greenwood) and Madeline (Mary McDonnell) as they embark on their latest project, Fortunato Pharmaceuticals.
But they are then forced to confront the chilling fate of Roderick’s six children, who die under mysterious and gruesome circumstances.
The cast includes Scream's Willa Fitzgerald, Heads of State's Carla Gugino and Star Wars' Mark Hamill.
The series in question is The Fall of the House of Usher, inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s short story of the same name.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, back in August, King said: "THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER (Netflix): I missed this when it bowed due to hip surgery, but this is a case of delayed gratification.
"Scary, involving, with writing that's witty and moves the plot. There's a case to be made for Mike Flanagan being the Quentin Tarantino of horror."
Flanagan has, of course, adapted some of King's novels himself - 2017 Netflix movie Gerald’s Game, also starring Gugino and featuring a scene so disturbing it had people pass out. Then there's 2019's Doctor Sleep, based on the sequel to The Shining, and this year's release, The Life of Chuck.
Over on Rotten Tomatoes, The Fall of the House of Usher racked up an impressive 91 percent from critics and 81 percent from fans.
"Presenting vintage Poe stories filtered through Mike Flanagan's deliciously dark lens, The Fall of the House of Usher will get a rise out of horror fans," critics said in their verdict.

Fans were in agreement, as one weighed in: "Beautifully executed, acted and perfect cinematography. Tip of the hat to Poe and delivered epically. Highly recommend."
A second labeled it 'so unique and binge worthy', as a third summed it up: "An entertaining combination of weird, deep and well-thought of."
The Fall of the House of Usher is streaming now on Netflix.
