Netflix subscribers don't have long left to catch a dark comedy series hailed as a 'must-watch gem' by viewers.

The streaming service is constantly shaking up its catalogue, adding new movies and TV series every week or so. However, Netflix must also remove titles from its library regularly, mainly due to license agreements expiring.

This can be frustrating, especially when you promised you'd give a show a chance, but you don't quite get the chance.

And then you do, and guess what? It's gone! Or, at least, on its way out...

Well, if this particular series were ever on your to-watch list, then you'd better get binging. The series stars Band of Brothers' Ron Livingston as Sam, a former music critic turned recovering alcoholic who now leads a substance abuse support group in Seattle, Washington.

He reluctantly guides others through recovery, despite his own life remaining an absolute mess.

The series also features Will Sasso as Ben Burns as Sam’s best friend and sober sponsor, as well as Laura Mennell, Anja Savcic, Mat Fraser, Toby Levins and Mark Brandon .

The show initially premiered on the AT&T Audience Network in October 2017 and ran for three seasons before the network ceased operations in April 2020.

All three seasons were later licensed to Netflix and added to its library on January 1, 2024. We're talking about Loudermilk, of course, named after its protagonist Sam Loudermilk.

The series is being pulled from Netflix on July 1, meaning there's only days left to finish your binge if you haven't already.

Across all three seasons, the dark comedy has racked up a Rotten Tomatoes score of 93 percent.

The critics consensus praised Loudermilk's 'sharp writing, solid foundation' and Ron Livingston's 'strong central performance,' adding that he was 'perfectly cast in this endearing dark comedy about a rock critic turned recovering alcoholic.'

Elsewhere on the site, one fan wrote: "Must watch television. Loudermilk touches on serious issues with humour, compassion and recognizes the absurdity of life."

"A gem of a show," a second typed, as a third chipped in: "I haven't liked a tv comedy this much in a very long time. I wish they were still making seasons."

A fourth wrote: "Pretty much perfect in every way. BRAVO," as somebody else said: "Loved it. Just the right mixture of comedy, tender moments and serious issues."

Over on Reddit, fans were quick to react to the news of its removal.

"Loudermilk leaving Netflix on July 1 in Australia/New Zealand, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States," one person said.

Another fan responded: "What are we supposed to do now?" as a second weighed in: "Sucks, just started watching it again too."

A third said: "Say it ain't so," as a fourth social media user wrote: "Damn, sad day."

"Literally just finished watching this," someone else said. "Binged the heck out of it when I saw it was leaving. Fantastic show, I really wish there was a season 4!"

All three seasons of Loudermilk are streaming now on Netflix until July 1.
