Fans of a binge-worthy drama that's joined Netflix are desperately hoping the streamer will revive it.
A new month brings a whole new slate of shows to the streamer, including some old favorites. It also means we must bid goodbye to a load of content, too.
However, fans of this particular crime drama are hoping Netflix can help give it a new lifeline, almost two years after its cancellation.

The TV series ran on Starz for three seasons between 2020 and 2024, before joining Netflix on July 23.
Set in Provincetown, Massachusetts, the show revolves around Jackie Quiñones (Monica Raymund), a National Marine Fisheries Service agent struggling with alcoholism and drug addiction.
Her party‑hard lifestyle unravels upon discovering the body of a dead body on a beach - a victim of the local opioid crisis.

Determined to find justice, Jackie immerses herself in the investigation and begins her journey toward sobriety.
Along the way, she clashes with and collaborates with detectives from the Cape Cod Interagency Narcotics Unit, as she becomes entwined in organized crime and corruption.
Joining Raymund is Prison Break's Amaury Nolasco, The Originals' Riley Voelkel and Inside Man's Atkins Estimond.
The show in question is called Hightown, and it's racked up rave reviews from fans, including an 80 percent Rotten Tomatoes score.

"This show is the real deal. It takes the viewer on a journey deep into the world of drugs and sex and really pulls the viewer in," one social media user said. "Excellent acting and writing on this one. This is a must watch for sure."
However others expressed their disappointment that the series was canceled after three seasons.
In an all-too-familiar story, Hightown sadly never amassed a enough large viewership and by early 2024, Starz was trimming its original content slate. The drama was one of several shows canceled in the process.

It means season three wrapped with key storylines up in the air, lending itself nicely to a fourth season that ultimately never materialized.
Hightown's third season dropped last January - so, relatively recently - but does that mean Netflix plans to revive it?
Fans of the show sure are hopeful, as one Twitter user said: "Since #Hightown made its way to Netflix, can they pick it up and make another season?! That was my show."

"I absolutely binge-watched this series... I really wish there were a season 4!" a second agreed, while a third echoed: "Hoping there will still be a season four!"
It wouldn't be the first time Netflix revived a stranded show; just look at the likes of Manifest, The Last Kingdom, Top Boy and Money Heist to name but a few.
So far, though, there's been no word from the streamer.
All three seasons of Hightown are streaming now on Netflix.
