Controversy aside, critics have been left impressed by the show's latest run of episodes.
Set in Los Angeles, it follows agnostic podcaster Joanne (Bell) who unexpectedly falls for rabbi Noah (Adam Brody).
Together they navigate their wildly different lives, traditions and meddling families.
Joanne’s sister Morgan (Lupe) and Noah’s brother Sasha (Timothy Simons) are also in the mix, bringing their own humor and drama.

Collider’s Isabella Soares also commended the latest instalment, noting its 'whole new layer of realism' as Joanne and Noah move beyond the honeymoon phase and into everyday life.
