None of Harlan Coben's hit shows have a sequel yet, but the writer has since revealed he's got 'an idea' for Fool Me Once.

The writer-turned-producer is the creative powerhouse behind some of the biggest shows to have landed on Netflix in recent years - think The Stranger, Stay Close and of course, Fool Me Once.

However, despite the popularity of said dramas, Coben has yet to create a season two for any of them.

Coben's dramas have captivated audiences on a global level, leaving viewers unable to tear their eyes from the screen - such as No Second Chance, Safe, The Stranger, The Woods, Stay Close, The Innocent, Gone for Good, Hold Tight and Fool Me Once alongside The Five, Just Un Regard and Prime Video's Shelter.

Two more series Missing You and Run Away were even announced by Netflix as having been green-lit earlier this year. But what about the potential of returning to one of the hits he's already created?

Despite the popularity and global success of his dramas, Coben is yet to return to the same story in the form of a second season, follow-up or spin-off.

Sitting down ahead of the release of his latest novel Think Twice, Coben revealed he has 'an idea' for how to return to Fool Me Once and explained why he hasn't ever created a follow-up to one of his dramas before.

Coben revealed to UNILAD he 'kind of' has 'an idea' of how to return to Fool Me Once, although he notes 'it's not ready to go anywhere' - just yet (we hope).

Coben continued: "A way for spinning-off Fool Me Once which I think would excite people, but it's still in my head - I think that would probably be the only one."

However, that's not to say the writer hasn't considered a follow-up before, Coben admitting he's 'thought' about doing a second season to The Stranger but ultimately decided: "Maybe not."

And there are several reasons why he's yet to return to any of his hit series.

Coben said: "I'll only do a season two if it's going to be better than season one. Otherwise, Netflix has given me the freedom to just say, 'Okay do this story.' And we'll just keep it in that same random way.

"So, most of the time, I think I'd rather do that."

Coben added: "The only other one I'd love to do someday again is, I made a movie with a book called Tell No One, a French movie.

"I'd love to be able to figure out - the rights are very complicated - how to turn that into a series and redo that one maybe."

Harlan Coben's latest book Think Twice is currently available to buy now.
