A series on Netflix has left fans begging for more after sinking their teeth into the first season.

If you're a fan of supernatural detective and mystery stories, then Netflix certainly has you covered.

Hit series Wednesday saw Wednesday Addams investigating a series of crimes at her supernatural school. Meanwhile, German series Dark follows the strange time-bending happenings in the small German town of Winden, home to an enormous nuclear power station.

But this one takes things less out of the mystery in a more old-fashioned detective partners investigating crimes type structure.

It's certainly a classic, including everything from the old school Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson to the also old school but in a different way Starsky and Hutch, among many others.

There are of course many ways to play the detective duo story, and this one takes things onto a whole other level.

The series is called Dead Boy Detectives, and follows the exploits of dead investigators Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland.

While some ghosts stay behind because of some great unresolved trauma, these ghosts have a very different kind of unfinished business.

That is using their ghostly abilities to give themselves an edge in solving crimes.

Thinking about it, ghosts have a lot of abilities which would be helpful in solving a crime.

Passing through walls could come in very handy, not to mention moving around unseen, unless you're unlucky enough to have a murderer who can see ghosts.

The show is adapted from a series of graphic novels by writer Neil Gaiman, of Good Omens and American Gods, and artist Matt Wagner, famous for the Mage and Grendel series.

If you're a fan of demonic possession, journeys to hell, and schoolchildren carrying out satanic rites, then look no further.

The comics formed part of the DC superhero universe, and saw the duo partnering up with other DC characters including Swamp Thing, Doom Patrol, and Black Orchid.

In fact, the characters even featured in the HBO Max series Doom Patrol before getting their own series on Netflix.

The series has proved a big hit with viewers, who took to social media page Netflix Bangers on Facebook to share their thoughts on it.

One posted: "Has anybody else watched this!? THE BEST!!!!!", while another said: "they should make more seasons."

A third commented: "Honestly didn’t expect It to be so good! Couldn’t stop watching!"
