Spooky season is well and truly here, so what better to get into the Halloween mood than watching some scary movies on the box.
There are certainly a lot of Halloween films to choose from, so it's certainly difficult to know what ones to watch over the next couple of weeks.
Of course, you want to stick on a good movie as who wants to waste their time watching something that is quite frankly bad, eh?

20) Cargo
The 2017 film directed by Ben Howling and Yolanda Ramke comes in at a rather impressive 87 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Cargo tells the story of an Australian father seeking a new home for his infant child after he is bitten by a zombie.
The movie features the likes of Martin Freeman, Anthony Hayes, Susie Porter and Simone Landers.

Next on the list is Freaks - sitting at an equally impressive 88 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Telling the rather terrifying story of seven-year-old Chloe who is imprisoned at home by her father, Freaks will certainly scare the life out of you.
The 2018 movie stars the likes of Emile Hirsch, Bruce Dern, Lexy Kolker and Amanda Crew.
18) Fear Street Part Two: 1978
As you'd probably expect from the name of this movie, it takes place in 1978 - though that is just the half of it.
The second part of Netflix's Fear Street trilogy, adapted from R L Stine's books, is a nostalgic summer camp slasher.

Emelie is quite frankly terrifying as a young boy tries to protect his two siblings from their new babysitter who reveals her psychotic nature.

In this third part of Netflix's Fear Street trilogy, the origins of Sarah Fier's curse are finally revealed as history comes full circle on a rather damming night.

Essentially, this movie sees a group of friends band together to save their neighborhood from vampires.

2019's Sweetheart is certainly an adventure, as a shipwreck survivor on an uninhabited island must fend off a rather scary force that surfaces each night.
6) Pan's Labyrinth
Releasing in 2006, this film takes place in 1944, telling the story of young Ofelia and her mother in post civil war fascist Spain.
Ofelia comes face to face with some terrifying creatures in this dark fairytale.
5) The Old Ways
A whopping 95 percent Rotten Tomatoes score is attached to The Old Ways, following its release back in 2021.
It tells the story of Mexican American journalist Cristina Lopez being held captive deep in the Veracruz jungles.
