Deadpool and Wolverine has as much hype as any Marvel film has had in years.

Whether it be Ryan Reynolds finally joining the MCU as Deadpool, Hugh Jackman’s shock return as Wolverine, or the hilarious trailers released so far – it looks set to be the biggest film of the summer.

The film’s stacked cast doesn’t stop at just the big two though, with a number of returning and new cast members - as well as a host of cameos.

Whilst we hopefully won’t know most of them till we’re sat down in the cinema, for the nosey amongst you like me – here’s the ones we know so far.

For those living under a rock, Ryan Reynolds and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Rob McElheney are now linked by their co-ownership of Wrexham AFC.

In the latest season of Welcome to Wrexham – their FX reality show covering their ownership of the side – it was revealed that McElheney would be making a cameo in the film.

Whilst the clip hinted he was likely to be a TVA agent – the jury is still out as to who exactly he will be playing.

Jennifer Garner

Whilst yet to feature in any of the trailers for Deadpool and Wolverine, Garner is confirmed to be appearing in the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter and copyright filings made by Marvel.

The actor has previously responded to reports of her involvement by Collider, to which she replied: "I don't know what you're talking about. What could you mean?"

When asked if she could 'hypothetically' appear, she added: "Not that I'm aware of."

Garner first played the red bandana wearing ninja in Ben Affleck's Daredevil, as well as her own spin-off movie, Elektra.

Let’s hope the new Deadpool has a bit more success than those films.

As confirmed in the second trailer that debuted Jackman’s return as Wolverine – there will be a number of returning actors from the various X-Men films.

Among these is Pyro, from the original X-Men trilogy, Lady Deathstrike from X2, Azazel from X-Men First Class, and Toad from X-Men.

The group appear to be backing up the film’s villain, Cassandra Nova, who will be played by Emma Corrin.

Don’t get us started on how weird her character is.

Rumours

Whilst a bunch are confirmed, rumours aplenty are flying.

Taylor Swift has long been rumoured to be appearing after being spotted regularly with Reynolds and director Shawn Levy.

Entertainment Weekly confirmed a week ago she would not be appearing, but after Spider-Man: No Way Home – we’ll all believe it when we see it.

Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively is another oft-rumoured appearance, with recent footage revealing that a Deadpool variant ‘Lady Deadpool’ would appear in the film. If anyone would play her – she’d make most sense.

Added to this is Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson – with the film seemingly linking heavily to their Loki show with the appearance of villainous cloud Alioth – and Wilson having been spotted in London around the time the movie was filming there.

Beyond that, with the clout of Marvel nowadays quite literally anyone could appear.

Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Wesley Snipes as Blade, James Marsden as Cyclops – there are new rumours appear every week about a new returning Marvel star.
