Ke Huy Quan has well and truly completed his amazing Hollywood comeback by winning the Best Supporting Actor award at the 2023 Oscars.
The star took to the stage at the Dolby Theatre for the 95th Academy Awards to accept the most prestigious trophy you can get in the world of film, where he gave an emotional speech.
Quan opened up about the struggles he's faced in the past, saying he spent a year in a refugee camp growing up.

"And somehow I ended up here on Hollywood's biggest stage," he said, adding, "This is the American dream."
Quan was honoured for his role as Waymond Wang in the universally acclaimed Everything Everywhere All at Once.
The 51-year-old actor beat out competition from Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan in The Banshees of Inisherin, Brian Tyree Henry in Causeway and Judd Hirsch in The Fabelmans.

Quan, who already earned the same honour at the Golden Globes earlier this year, made his big break as a child actor in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, portraying the titular character's sidekick Short Round.
But in the early 00s, he decided to step away from being in front of the camera, only to make his big return in 2021 to star in the sci-fi hit.
And it's safe to say he made the right choice, having wowed both audiences and critics alike and bagged both a Golden Globe and an Oscar for his role.

Quan previously cited the film Crazy Rich Asians as the reason he decided to make a comeback to acting.
"For a long time I thought I was at peace with it, but something was missing, and I really didn’t know what it was until Crazy Rich Asians came out," he told GQ last year.
"I saw my fellow Asian actors up on the screen, and I had serious FOMO because I wanted to be up there with them."
Alongside his Everything Everywhere All at Once success, Quan is set to make his debut by starring in the second season of Disney Plus' Loki.

The fans (us included) are delighted to see him win the Oscar, and no doubt his former co-star Harrison Ford will feel the same.

In December last year, the Indiana Jones star said Quan deserved an Academy Award for his motion picture comeback.
Speaking to Uproxx about the pair's recent reunion nearly four decades after having worked together, Ford said: "It was great to see him.

"I’ve had the opportunity to see the film. He is really terrific in his movie. And I’m so glad to see him... and what he has become. I’m so happy for him."
