Woman slams Tinder date who asked her to pay $380 electricity bill after he paid for ‘pricey’ dinner

Kendra Roxberry ultimately ditched her Tinder date following the bizarre request.

While we've heard a lot of Tinder success stories over the years, we've been surrounded by a bunch of car crashes too.

And this particular case falls into the latter category as a woman ditched her Tinder date when he tried to 'guilt trip' her into paying his electricity bill.

This is because he apparently blew all his money on their last date at a 'pricey' restaurant she chose.

Kendra Roxberry, from Pennsylvania, had been dating a man referred to as Josh for couple of months when he asked her to pick out a restaurant for their next date.

The 29-year-old assumed 'his finances would be in order', so she opted for an expensive seafood restaurant.

However, Kendra was left shocked just a week later when Josh asked her if she could pay $376.54 'to get his lights turned back on'.

The bizarre message concluded by saying: "I figured it wouldn't be an issue since I paid for your seafood boil lol."

Josh covered the $250 says Kendra, as he told his date not to worry about the cost when he asked her to choose a restaurant.

Things were going extremely well between the pair before the text message, with Kendra labelling Josh as 'smart and kind'.

The message caught the woman by surprise.

But after he 'guilt trip' her, a baffled Kendra says she replied the day after to say: "Lol ... really? I'm not sure this is going to work out. Good luck!"

She ultimately blocked his number.

Kendra insists she's not 'cold-hearted' and wouldn't have minded him asking if he didn't hold the date as a reason to extract some cash out of her.

"The trash took itself out," Kendra said.

"I don't think there's anything wrong with reaching out for help, but using the date over my head to try and get money out of me threw me off him.

"He was very handsome, smart, kind and he seemed very well-put-together. He had a similar sense of humour and we got along great. The chemistry was there.

"I feel like we were even. I wasn't using him for his money and expecting him to pay for everything. I enjoyed his company and would pay for things too."

She decided to call it off.

She added: "I really had high expectations and felt things were moving quite well so it was a shame.

"I wish he would have approached it in a totally different way rather than it being something he expected me to do.

"I'm not a cold-hearted person and I realize times are hard and sometimes people need help."

Kendra posted the message to Facebook on the same day, with many left baffled by the singleton's request.

One commented: "I'd be asking why he got you a $200 seafood boil when he had bills to pay? That doesn't sound like your problem."

While a second agreed and said: "You should laugh react and never talk to him again. Shouldn't have paid for the boil if he had bills to pay."
