A TikToker who discussed the hardships of having a 9-5 job has since been laid off.

Brielle, who goes by the handle @brielleybelly123 on the video sharing platform, went viral back in October for a video of her getting upset about her work/life balance.

"I know I'm probably just being so dramatic and annoying, but this is my first job, like my first 9 to 5 job after college," she said.

"I'm in person, and I'm commuting in the city, and it takes me f**king forever to get there."

Brielle went on to say that she find she doesn't have time for things such as exercise or seeing her friends as all she wants to do when she gets in from work is 'shower, eat my dinner, and go to sleep'.

Fast forward to December and Brielle was sadly laid off from her job.

She said in a video shared to TikTok on December 15: "I'm not going to sit here and cry, but I got laid off from my first post-grad job and the one that took me five months to find that I moved to New York City for."

"Basically it's not my fault, before we start," Brielle continued.

"I worked at a start-up and they didn't have the workload or the bandwidth that they needed to train me and to give me work to do."

Brielle unfortunately got laid off just before the holidays.

Brielle went on to note that it was a difficult time to find a new job as it was just before the holidays and most recruitment processes are paused until the New Year.

Adding extra pressure to her situation, Brielle said she doesn't have an emergency saving fund as her wage went on bills and other things.

She went on to urge people to let her know of any digital marketing roles available, and suggested she may do some nannying or serving to bridge the gap between jobs.

Her video has since been viewed over 680,000 times.

Brielle shared that she didn't make enough from her previous salary to generate any savings.

It's unclear if Brielle has managed to find a new job yet, but people took to her video to empathize with her situation.

"This is the reality of working today it’s insane," one person said.

Another TikTok user shared: "I have 3 degrees + experience, 5 months post grad I have yet to land a job + have barely been interviewed. Questioning EVERYTHING. You’re not alone."

"I’m so sorry boo! Everything will be fine! Start a series day 1 of getting laid off - live that influencer life," someone else went on.

With many of Brielle's videos generating thousands of views, maybe the influencer life is for her after all!
