People on social media have all been offering up a whole host of reasons why a woman chose to stand up for an 'entire flight'.

Plane travel can often be the worst part of a holiday. You have to deal with a whole lot of expected oddities and annoyances but a viral video has stunned even the most frequent travelers.

According to a social media user, a woman decided to stand for a seven-hour flight and simply watched a movie by her seat the 'entire' time.

The clip was first posted on TikTok by Dr Richard Duong who posts under the username @envisionaries.

He captioned the video: “Lady stood on my flight for the entire seven-hour duration watching her movie,” and it seemed to spark a debate in the comments section.

The video even shows the woman standing up in the same position watching her film when the plane’s lights dimmed.

The traveler, who has not been identified, can be seen standing with a blanket around her waist.

In the comments section, the user explained that she did take her seat when seat belt signs came on.

Off the top of your head, you might struggle to think of a reason why she would choose to stand, I mean have you ever taken a flight and stood up the entire time... when you have a seat right there?

Some internet sleuths came up with some rather simple explanations.

People suggested she might have been standing so a person she was with could have a lie-down or that she herself suffers from a medical condition that makes sitting painful or difficult.

One person said: “She could have a clotting disorder. I have to stand and stretch a lot because of this.”

Another added: “I have fibromyalgia and I would have to stand for most of the flight otherwise I’m in agony.”

A third commented: “She could have no issues at all and just wanted to stand. That’s her business.”

While someone else wrote: “I feel her, for a year I had 2 herniated discs and a hip tear and couldn’t sit for more than 20 minutes I was too humiliated to fly but u gotta do what u gotta do.”

So, in all honesty, it could have been a whole host of things but let’s just hope she enjoyed the pleasant journey and her legs weren't too stiff or sore from standing for so long.
