A waitress has shared how much she made in tips and people are now saying they need her job after seeing how generous her customers were.

Atlas, better known as @h2p36 on TikTok, went viral after sharing her tip box online, with the waitress making a staggering sum in just two months.

Even Atlas was shocked by the amount, which had been stuffed inside an acrylic box she’d bought online for just $20 (£16).

In the first of her viral videos, Atlas can be seen struggling to open her tip jar and jokes about using the money to pay for an ER visit as the plastic lid shatters.

“I mean I think that now would be a good time,” she joked, adding: “It’s like being hit by an ambulance on your way to the hospital.”

As Atlas begins counting, she notes the number of $5, $10, and even some $100 dollar bills, with another voice in the background teasing: “It pays to get tips, right?”

However, viewers had to wait for a second video to discover just how much she made.

Gotta build the tension somehow.

Showing herself counting and sorting the bills with the help of two others, Atlas revealed that she’d made a staggering $2,575 (£2,275) in just two months as she waved the huge wad of money around.

And many were shocked by just how much she made in the short period of time.

One user wrote in the comments: “2 months…I need a new job.”

Almost immediately, others joined in, with another stating that the amount was more than they were paid in two months.

“Um ma’am where do you work I need to go apply,” wrote a second.

Thought Atlas hasn’t revealed where she works, the TikToker did tell fans that she is currently a part time hostess at a café.

And whilst some have been eager to join her workplace, others pointed out that the tips may be more to do with the US’s tipping culture rather the location.

In the States, it’s more common for customers to be large tippers, with airline Qantas telling travellers that a tip between 15 and 25 percent on top of the bill is 'standard'.

This because waiters’ hourly wage can be as low as $2.13 (£1.76) in some parts of the US.

Other commentators also noted this difference, with one saying: “Wow America has great tippers, in the UK you would get around 10 quid in 3 months.”

Atlas received $2,575 in tips.

However, one fan said that Atlas had earned the eye watering sum due her great customer service.

They wrote: “This is awesome and says alot about your customer service!! enjoy doing something special”

The waitress later revealed that she intended to do just that and that she is now planning a luxurious trip to Disneyland.
