Twitch bans its most-subscribed streamer Kai Cenat

The streamer has been banned for the second time in a matter of months

Twitch has suddenly banned Kai Cenat, one of the biggest streamers on the circuit, for a second time this year.

Despite only starting out in 2021, Kai Cenat has become one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, having recently broke Ludwig’s and Ninja’s subscriber records after a February subathon – taking the top spot with 306,621 all-time peak active subscriptions, compared to their respective 283,066 and 269,154 respectively.

He's also established himself as a successful YouTuber, having amassed a whopping 3.57 million subscribers by sharing comedic skits, pranks and celebrity meets.

But Cenat, 21, has now been banned from Twitch – for the second time in just months.

While there’s no indication on whether or not the ban is temporary, three of Cenat’s four past bans lasted no longer than three days.

However, just over a year ago, Twitch banned him for 30 days.

Cenat announced on Instagram: “BANNED ONCE AGAIN ON TWITCH.”

In another Instagram Story, Cenat added: “CAN’T STOP ME.”

According to Twitch, Cenat was banned for breaking the site’s community guidelines or terms of service, though it has offered little explanation beyond that.

A message on his feed says: “This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch's Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.”

Some fans have joked that that Twitch must have disliked one of Cenat’s recent videos, in which he opened a gift from the platform’s rival Kick.

GameRant, meanwhile, writes: “This newest ban might have been prompted by the fact that he rode a dirt bike indoors earlier this week.”

The outlet adds: “The Twitch Community Guidelines explicitly forbid content that in any way endangers anyone's life or glorifies actions that could lead to physical harm for any reason; riding a motorcycle through a living room presumably qualifies for this definition of endangerment.”

UNILAD has reached out to Twitch for comment.

Cenat is, of course, no stranger to embarrassing on-screen moments, having recently passed out mid-stream in front of thousands of Twitch viewers after eating some cannabis snacks.

And in February, he left fans wondering whether he was getting a... helping hand... during a marathon streaming session.

According to reports, approximately 100,000 people were tuned in to the livestream, which took place at Cenat’s 'Mafiathon House' as he and a group of his friends hung out.

At one point, influencer and model Chicachicaduhhh can be seen with her arm appearing to move up and down in the region of Cenat's crotch.

However, he later decided to set the record straight after receiving an influx of comments about the incident.

Demonstrating on his leg, he claimed that Chicachicaduhhh was just simply scratching his upper thigh – it just looked sus because it was so close to his crotch.

"She was doing the claw," he said.
