Black Widow star Scarlett Johansson has revealed the one thing she hopes her two children will 'never find out' about her.

The actor shared a number of insights to her life and mind during an interview on The Drew Barrymore Show this week, when the host asked her questions about her 'most irrational fear' and what she would want to know if she could see into the future.

Among the questions Barrymore asked Johansson was the following: 'What is something you hope your kids never find out about you?'

    Check out her response below:

Johansson, who is mum to seven-month-old Cosmo and seven-year-old Rose, appeared to think along the same lines many parents would in offering up a habit that she wouldn't want her children to take up in the future.

Barrymore admitted that revealing such a secret would 'defeat the purpose' of it being kept hidden, but Johansson showed she was willing to answer as she responded: 'I'm trying to think, what would I not want my kids to find out about.'

The actor went on to reveal that she used to smoke when she was younger and described it as something she is 'ashamed' of. She said her elder child might have asked her about the habit before, and explained she wouldn't want her daughter 'to think I ever thought it was cool' because she didn't want her to 'ever, ever smoke'.

'Cause that's what you do,' she joked, 'You forbid your kids from doing things and then they don't do them. So yeah, I just hope she never kind of figures that out.'

Given that her children are still young enough to require parental controls on what they watch Johansson might be able to stop her kids finding out about her former habit for now, but she'll just have to hold out hope in the future that they don't look up the interview between herself and Barrymore.

As well as revealing her former smoking habit, Johansson told Barrymore her irrational fear was that she was 'never going to work again' after finishing a job, recalling thinking that she 'had a good run and [was] never going to work again', as well as admitting that if she could see into the future she would want to know if Donald Trump was going to try and run for president again.

'I just want to know, so I can be prepared,' she explained. 'I don't know if I can handle it.'

Johansson also admitted to being most competitive during heated games of backgammon, and proved that she could cry on command as she managed to produce a tear from her eye.
