Pete Davidson's furious voicemail to PETA leaked after they criticized him for new puppy

The SNL star was not happy with how Peta treated him and his family

Pete Davidson's enraged voicemail to PETA has been leaked after the animal rights group criticised him for buying a puppy.

The row began when Davidson and his girlfriend, Chase Sui Wonders, were photographed picking up a cavapoo from a New York pet store.

Once photos of the Saturday Night Live star hit the headlines, PETA made their feelings known, as they blasted Davidson for 'propping up the puppy mill industry' and urged him to adopt in the future.

This evidently angered the 29-year-old enough for him to pick up the phone and chew out Daphna Nachminovitch, the Senior VP of Cruelty Investigations at PETA.

In a voicemail left to the group, which was then leaked by TMZ, Davidson fumed: "Hi, my name is Pete Davidson, this message is for Daphna.

"Thank you so much for making comment publicly that I didn’t adopt a dog. I just want to let you know, I’m severely allergic to dogs so I have to get a specific breed.

"I’m only not allergic to cavapoos and those types of dogs.

"My mom’s f**king dog, who is two years old, died a week prior and we’re all so sad, so I had to get a specific dog.

"Why don’t you do your research before you f**king create news stories for people? F**k you and suck my d**k."

In the wake of the fiery message, PETA have double downed on their stance and told TMZ that there is no such thing as a 'hypoallergenic dog'.

Davidson himself has expressed remorse for his choice of words, telling TMZ: "I haven't seen my mom and sister cry like that in over 20 years. I was trying to cheer up my family.

"I was already upset that the store had filmed me without my permission or acknowledgement."

"Then this organization made a public example of us, making our grieving situation worse. I am upset. It was a poor choice of words.

"I shouldn't have said what I said, but I am not sorry for standing up for myself and my family."

Davidson announced the passing of his family dog in May, sharing a statement to Instagram: "I know today is the Bupkis premiere day but I wanna use today to remember my dog Henry. Yesterday we lost a key member of the Davidson family.

"Henry was only 2 years old but unfortunately got very sick very fast. My mom, sister and I got Henry at the beginning of the pandemic and he saved our lives.

"Not sure I'd even be around without him. He was the happiest and sweetest dog ever.

"He used to get excited when he saw me and would pee everywhere.

"When I was working at SNL my mom would send me videos of him watching, smiling and making noise when I came on screen.

"I don’t ever really watch any of my stuff with anyone as I’m far too scared but I didn’t mind watching with Henry. He was truly the best.

"My mom, sister and I are broken and will miss him forever. We love you Henry. Thank you for making our lives fuller and reminding me what actually matters."
