Pete Davidson has made waves in comedy circles, but the star recently reflected on the consistent fascination regarding his love life despite his success.

If Davidson is dating someone in Hollywood, you’ll likely see a fair few articles about it or people talking about it on Twitter.

This isn’t exactly how the comedian would want to be remembered.

Speaking in an interview with Page Six, he reflected on his past relationships and essentially being in the spotlight so much.

The star also gave an insight into how he and Ariana Grande now get along, as the pair were previously engaged for four months back in 2018.

Grande has also remained in the limelight over the years, most recently earning herself an Oscar nod for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film Wicked.

Davidson said: “When we see each other—which is few and far between, because we’re not in the same circles—it’s all love.

“I hope she wins the Oscar, I hope she takes the gold.”

The comedian also went on to say the fascination with him and his relationship with other stars was actually rather ‘humiliating and upsetting.’

He added: “I’ve had some pretty adult relationships with some pretty amazing women and when it’s ended it’s been cool.

“Everyone is dating everyone and it’s Hollywood.

“But because I’m ugly, they wrote about me. I was harassed for like five years and it made my life a living hell.

"You want people to write about your work. I was one of the youngest ever cast members on SNL and all that got pushed to the side because of who I was dating."

He also commented that he has mixed feelings about how he has been perceived on the internet.

He noted that it was equally embarrassing as it was flattering when he was considered the focal point of BDE, a term meaning big d*** energy.

He continued: “I’m a very sensitive person and it’s humiliating to see a picture of yourself eating a sandwich in a pink T-shirt with the headline ‘This is what BDE is'.

With that said, he said he was comfortable and happy to recently strip off for an ad for Reformation, a female clothing company.

He joked: “If you’re going to be in underwear showing your mushrooms, you might as well get it out of the way before you turn 40.”

Talking about the future, the 32-year-old insisted that for the next 6 months he won’t be dating and that he was starting to turn his life around, abstaining from drugs and social media.

He simply added: “If I need to know something, my friends will tell me.”
