People Ripping Into Beyoncé’s Nephew After He Posts Clip Of Himself Performing Music

The 17-year-old's performance has not gone down well... at all

Beyoncé's nephew is being absolutely ripped online after posting a video of him rapping. What do you think?

It looks like Julez Smith Jr. is trying to follow in the footsteps of his famous relatives after he shared a video of him performing one of his own tunes.

The 17-year-old posted the snippet of his track on TikTok last week, and it has already been viewed over 45,000 times.

However, despite jumping into the comments himself to describe the tune as 'straight fire', not everyone seems to agree.

Julez has come in for a fair bit of flack from people online, with many saying that the apple seems to have fallen very far from the tree.

Commenting on the post, one user said: "Pick another lane." Chipping in, another critic asked: "How is Jay Z your uncle?"

"His mom is Solange, his auntie is Beyoncé, and his uncle is Jay Z, but he doesn’t have a lick of musical talent… " put a third, while another added: "Respectfully, don’t drop this."

Not everyone was so quick to pass judgement on the young rapper, though, as there were actually some words of encouragement from a few people online.

"The bars can be better but it’s okay," said one while another wrote: "The lyrics have potential, he just need to find his sound."

This comes after rumours began circulating recently that Julez had got an 18-year-old woman pregnant.

Text messages purporting to have been exchanged between the two were shared across social media and as a result, he took to Instagram to outright deny that the rumours were true.

Julez said: "Now usually I wouldn’t speak on this type of stuff but this time I’m not gonna let y’all drag my family for something that is fabricated."

Julez’s father, Daniel J Smith, also got involved, addressing it on his Instagram stories: "The game is gonna test you. Never fold! It’s not on you, it’s in you and what’s in you they can’t take away!"
