The People's Choice Awards' camera panned to Tom Hiddleston after a Taylor Swift joke and viewers have a lot to say about it.

Swift may think she can just go about her relationships, getting with various other celebs, breaking up with them, writing a song about her exes and then moving on, but unfortunately the opportunity for awards ceremonies to make jokes is just too tempting.

And at last night's (18 February) People's Choice Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, a moment to swing the camera to Hiddleston - who went out with Swift in 2016 - was not lost on viewers.

Prepare to giggle in amusement:

In his opening speech for the awards ceremony, host Simu Liu mentioned notable movies such as Saltburn, Oppenheimer and then, of course, Barbie.

Towards the end of the speech, he said: "Finally, for the most iconic pop culture moment of the year, who could forget that one little movie about a blonde American icon that had the entire country dressing up, dancing the night away, and making huge waves at the box office. I'm talking of course about Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie.

"Oh, I'm sorry did you think I was gonna say the other - no, no. Look, I was a Swiftie long before I was Ken. Okay? Just wanted to be super clear where my loyalties lay."

The 34-year-old went on to praise Swift's fifth studio album, noting he's a '1989 baby' and so is 'bonding' with the pop star. And who should the camera then pan to but one of Swift's exes, Loki star Tom Hiddleston.

Viewers have been left in stitches by the moment and Hiddleston's reaction to the joke.

One X user said: "The people’s choice awards show Tom Hiddleston laughing at a Taylor Swift joke and I'm not okay."

Another added: "IM DYING SIMU TALKING ABOUT TAYLOR SWIFT AND THE CAMERA WENT TO TOM HIDDLESTON. IM DEADDDDDDDDDDD."

A third commented: "The camera panning to Tom Hiddleston after the Taylor Swift reference was perfection."

While a fourth wrote: "The cut to Tom Hiddleston as they’re talking about Taylor Swift was iconic."

And a fifth resolved: "The way Tom Hiddleston laughs at a Taylor Swift positive joke. That guy was always smiles when Taylor gets brought up. I wish him well. Truly."

Later on in the awards show, Hiddleston lost out on 'Male TV Star of the Year' to The Last of Us' Pedro Pascal, however, he got up on stage to receive Loki's award for 'Best Sci-Fi/ Fantasy Show'.
