Snoop Dogg's daughter shares heartbreaking detail after announcing tragic death of his 10-month-old granddaughter

Snoop Dogg's granddaughter, Codi Dreaux, sadly passed away in January.

Snoop Dogg's daughter has shared details about her baby daughter, following the infant's death in January.

Cori Broadus, 26, shared a post to her Instagram Stories on January 31, sharing that her 10-month-old daughter, Codi Dreaux, had passed away.

Cori wrote: "Monday; I lost the love of my life. My Codi," followed by an emoji of an angel wing.

Her fiancé and Cori's father, Wayne Deuce, also paid tribute to the couple's daughter with his own social media post.

“I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux," he wrote, with the post also showing a picture of him holding his baby daughter.

"But I know u at peace," he added. "Daddy will always love you. My baby."

Codi had been born three months premature and had spent an extended period of 10 months in the neonatal intensive care unit.

Days after the tragic announcement, Cori took to her Instagram Stories to mark one week on from her little one's passing.

Sharing a photo of her daughter's legs as she held her, she wrote: "Today makes one week without you, girl. I miss you bad."

On Thursday (February 5), Cori shared a post on her Stories explaining: "Btw, that baby looked just like me," before adding: "I'm doing everything for you Codi."

Cori also shared a post from her daughter’s nurse, who reflected on caring for Codi during her final days. The nurse wrote: “I been sad for 6 days straight.

"Being a nurse has its ups and downs and this is the biggest down I ever experienced

"It was such a pleasure being mybabygirls nurse. I gave her one last bath told her I loved her and didn't even know I was getting her ready for Heaven.”

After Cori’s announcement, Snoop Dogg also broke his silence on the tragic news.

Rather than issuing a statement, the rapper shared a family photo on his Instagram page, which included Cori, as well as her brothers Cordell and Corde, and captioned it simply with a sparkling red heart and prayer hands emojis.

Cordell later shared a tribute to Cori, too, writing on his Stories alongside the photo: “Lil sis, we got you forever."
