One of Sam Asghari’s Instagram posts from last month may have included a subtle sign of his reported split from Britney spears – so subtle, that many of us completely missed it.
It is believed that Asghari has filed for divorce from the singer after one year of marriage, with the likes of TMZ, ET Online and PEOPLE reporting he has cited 'irreconcilable differences' for the split.
Over the past few months, rumours have been circulating that the relationship hadn’t been faring too well, with TMZ claiming they recently had a 'nuclear argument'.
Spears, 41, was spotted driving around Los Angeles on the day the news broke that the couple were about to break up.

Photographers captured the singer not wearing her wedding ring while behind the wheel.
And it turns out there may have been a similar sign from Asghari – but weeks ago.
Back in July, Asghari posted a photo of himself sitting alongside his mum, explaining she had been involved in a ‘major accident’.
He wrote: “I'm so Grateful for the love and support you guys had during Mama Asghari's recovery after the accident. Sending a huge thank you to the amazing medical staff at Cedars-Sinai ER.
“Moments like these remind us of life's preciousness. Taking a social media break to prioritize what truly matters. See you very soon.”
In the photo, he was not wearing a wedding ring.
Fans have previously spotted him sporting a bare finger, although Asghari has in the past laughed off claims that this meant anything.
After photos surfaced of him without the jewellery, he posted a series of selfies posing with his ring – in one even holding it up to the camera as he lifts his finger to his mouth, in the style of Austin Powers character Dr Evil.
Spears and Asghari announced their engagement in September 2021, before tying the knot the year after in June.
They married at Spears’ home in Thousand Oaks, California, with celebrity guests including the likes of Madonna, Selena Gomez and Drew Barrymore, with the bride dressed in a stunning gown by Donatella Versace – who also came along to help celebrate the big day.
In May 2022, the couple confirmed they had suffered a miscarriage, having shared the news that Spears was expecting the month beforehand.
Spears wrote on Instagram: “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy.
“This is a devastating time for any parent.
“Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along, however we were overly excited to share the good news. Our love for each other is our strength.
“We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family.”
