Russell Brand has given his verdict on ex-wife Katy Perry dating the former Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, and he does not appear to be taking it well.
The 50-year-old English comedian, who is awaiting trial over multiple rape allegations he denies, brought up his two-year marriage to the pop singer, 41, while speaking at a Turning Points USA event in Phoenix, Arizona.
Brand claimed Perry's mom was in the crowd to hear his remarks.
At the event, the Get Him to the Greek actor decided to launch into a stand-up bit about Perry's new relationship, which began in July this year just three months after Trudeau, 53, left office.

"Look, Katy Perry, I was married to her. I love her still, and I’m glad that her mom’s in the room to hear me say this," he began by saying to the crowd.
He then shouted: "But look, I was okay with Orlando Bloom, but Justin Trudeau?"

After a quiet start to his routine, this drew a smattering of laughter at the TPUSA event, which took place in founder Charlie Kirk's home city.
The comedian was married to Perry for two years between 2010 and 2012 before he filed for divorce over 'irreconcilable differences.'
“He’s a very smart man, and I was in love with him when I married him,” Perry said in the wake of their divorce. “Let’s just say I haven’t heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me December 31, 2011."
The I Kissed A Girl singer would find love again four years later with acting heartthrob Orlando Bloom, someone Brand did not mind being compared to.
But in recent years, Brand has become a born-again Christian and slowly pivoted to the right, being baptised again in 2024 after an investigation by the Times, Sunday Times and Channel 4 in the UK found five women who claimed the actor had sexually assaulted them.
With his newfound conservative Christian outlook on life, he felt the need to go after her current beau, the former Liberal PM of Canada.
"Come on, man! Don’t put me in a category with that guy! That globalist stooge," Brand said, with little reaction. As he looks at his notes he then says 'Alright, praise Jesus,' to laughs from the crowd.
Despite Brand's ridiculing on stage, his ex-wife's relationship with Justin Trudeau appears to be going well.
The pair finally made their first official outing as a couple at a cabaret club in Paris in October, after a few months of dating.
Back in July a source told People that they had begun seeing each other after an 'instant connection.'
The source said: "She is traveling around the world, and he is figuring out his life now that he is no longer prime minister of Canada, but there is an attraction. They have a lot in common.
"Both are idealists and still live in a world where they think they can make improvements, although it has gotten more difficult."
