Fans of Ray J were shocked after a performance where it appeared that blood was coming from his eyes.

The rapper from Mississippi previously opened up about how he had 'almost died' due to a severe case of pneumonia.

In a shocking moment, he said that doctors had told him that his heart had been 'only beating 25 percent'.

Footage from a gig on February 14 at Shreveport Municipal Auditorium in Louisiana shows a red liquid flowing down his face, leaving fans concerned for Ray J's welfare.

The 'Intimate Valentine's Day concert' also featured well-known R&B performers including Kelly Price, Sunshine Anderson, and Bobby Valentino.

But Ray J's performance has drawn the most attention on social media, as he had recently opened up about a series of health problems that he has faced.

The rapper, who famously made a sex tape with Kim Kardashian, had even gone so far as to suggest that he doesn't think he has much time left, saying that '2027 is definitely a wrap', and saying that he was informed by medics that his heart was 'black'.

In a candid admission, he spoke about the impact he believes his lifestyle may have had on his health.

He said: "I thought I was so big so I could handle all the alcohol, I could handle all the Adderall, the drugs, I can handle everything - but I couldn’t. It curved my time."

Ray J also revealed that he was looking at the possibility of having a pacemaker fitted, and is reportedly taking medications prescribed to people who are at risk of heart failure.

Despite this however, Ray J also said in a video shared by E! News on January 30 that he 'felt great' and his manager claimed that the star's doctor 'did miracles'.

While on stage, a red liquid could be seen flowing down his face from behind his sunglasses as he was handing out red roses to members of the audience, smiling as he did so.

In another video from the performance, Ray J unzips the orange jumpsuit he is wearing, and what appears to be a medical dressing can be seen on the upper left side of his chest.

Some people claimed that this might be something related to cardiac medication.

Fans took to social media to share their concern, with one writing: "Why would blood be coming out like that?"

Meanwhile, another wrote: "This looks wild af...but blood from the eyes during a performance with a heart monitor? Either it's some next-level stage makeup/effects or he's in serious trouble. Praying it's the first one and he gets the help he needs. Heart at 25% ain't no joke."

Meanwhile a third clip, this time taken backstage, shows the rapper sitting with a friend who highlights that he has had health problems, though they don't address his eyes.

Ray J can be heard responding: "Damn, I'm getting better! You're gonna laugh at me being sick...It's not fair. We're okay, that's what I'm saying, like, don't do that."

Speaking to the camera, he added: "Hey y'all, we perfectly fine, look at me. I'm fine."
