Fans of Fast and Furious star Paul Walker have been flooding to social media on the 10th anniversary of his passing to commemorate him.

Paul Walker - full name Paul William Walker IV - was best known for his role as Brian O'Conner in the Fast and Furious franchise. He also starred in hits such as Joy Ride and She's All That.

On 30 November, 2013, the actor tragically passed away at the age of 40 after being involved in a car crash alongside Roger Rodas.

Ten years to the day and fans of Walker are taking a moment to pay tribute to the star.

Walker was born in Glendale, California and began his acting career at the young age of around 11 years old.

He starred in various sitcoms such as Throb and went on to appear in soap opera The Young and the Restless too, before transitioning to the world of film in 1986.

His breakthrough role came at the age of 28, when he was cast in The Fast and the Furious, with Walker striking up a close friendship with Vin Diesel.

Earlier this year, when asked about how he's going to carry on Walker's legacy, Vin Diesel told an interviewer a story about Walker.

He said: "In 2010 there was an earthquake in Haiti. The president of the Dominican Republic asked me to come down and asked me if I could bring any of the people from Hollywood.

"[...] The only person that came was Paul Walker."

And it's not only Vin Diesel who is loyally carrying on the star's legacy, with fans of Walker flooding to X to mark the 10 years since he passed away.

One X user said: "Yeah it's been 10 years since he's been gone but still remember him as the Brian O'Connor from The Fast and Furious franchise one of the best characters I thought I never going to like him but I was wrong he was pretty good and have a lot of respect. It hasn't been the same."

Another added: "This was so unexpected when it happened, gone too soon. Will always miss him."

A third commented: "I remember the exact moment. Devastating. The entertainment world lost a gem that night."

And a final resolved: "King of The Fast Lane, may be gone but his spirit lives on in those movies and the entire fast family."
