Things might be heating up in the fashion world as Noami Campbell and Anna Wintour recently appeared to take shots at each other at an award show.
If you were lucky enough to be at Harlem’s Fashion Show and Style event on Tuesday (September 3), you likely would have been sat there with your jaw on the floor.
Or you could have been sat there like Kermit the Frog just sipping your tea as supermodel Naomi Campbell and Vogue editor Anna Wintour took what appeared to be slight digs at one another.

Funnily enough, the British model was actually there to be honored by Wintour so this makes this interaction particularly juicy.
While on stage, Wintour was set to honor Campbell with the Fashion Icon Award - however, she was late to the proceeding, a fact that Wintour made clear for everyone in the room.
A video on Twitter has begun circulating, showing Wintour say: “I am a very punctual person, and I have the honor of presenting tonight to someone who is often late.”

When Campbell did eventually take to the stage, Wintour had reportedly already left the venue and left Samira Nasr, the editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar, to present it instead.
Campbell said: “Yes, Naomi’s always late. But I believe in my high power, and I want to thank my higher power for having me be here.”
She then said she preferred to have Nasr present, jokingly adding: “Everything’s going to work out the way it’s meant to work out.

“It wasn’t my choice to have the other lady [Wintour]. I’d much rather have this.”
This did cause an audible stir in the audience and people on social media didn’t miss out on the potential slight.
However, people were pretty divided on Campbell’s response overall.
“'The other lady', She aint name no names but them words were pointed,” one delighted fan commented while adding a gif.

“Naomi's clapback was legendary—she’s never one to let a comment slide, especially when it comes to her time and presence. It seems like she got the last word in with style!,” commented another.
“Naomi Campbell is a legend and won't be lectured by anyone, not even Anna Wintour! She doles out shade with class and precision,” a third wrote.
However some weren’t as impressed, as one person commented: “The amount of people applauding Naomi's clapback instead of questioning her professionalism for being late for an event she will be awarded to?"

“I mean its disrespectful to be late so,” another simply wrote.
What do you think? A great clapback or unprofessional?
