It's not uncommon for actors to have stage names, but it turns out that Mia Goth's name is simply just a shorter version of her very long full name.
It will often shock people to learn what celebrities' real monikers are, a perfect example being Jennifer Aniston learning what Reese Witherspoon's actual name is.
While they have been friends for years, Aniston was completely floored to learn her The Morning Show co-star is really called Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon.
While Witherspoon's name is different, Mia Goth is genuinely called Mia Goth despite people's presumption that it was a stage name. The name she uses in her Hollywood career isn't completely accurate, however.

Goth is of Brazilian heritage and it's common for people to keep both surnames - one from each parent. While this isn't a legal requirement, it's a tradition many Brazilian families uphold to this day, and Goth is no different.

The Frankenstein actress' mom is Brazilian while her father is Canadian. With this in mind Goth's full name is actually Mia Gypsy Mello da Silva Goth.
She discussed her name on the Skip Intro podcast recently and discussed her heritage.

"I was born in London and when I was two weeks old, my mom and my dad and me got on a plane and we went to Rio," Goth shared. "I was there until was five."
"I was born in London but there's a part of me that does feel very Brazilian and really resonate with the culture, the music, and the food," she continued.
In light of her recent discussions people have shared their surprise that firstly Mia Goth's name is real and secondly at how long her full moniker is.
One wrote: "It reminds me of when I told everyone that Michael B Jordan was a stage name so when it wasn't, I'm still ashamed today."

Another said: "She should demand people call her by her full name even in conversation."
Others noted that being called something so unique meant she was always going to be famous.
"Having a name like that you are born to be a star," someone said on Twitter.

Somebody else on Reddit branded her name 'cool as f**k'.
People have previously reacted to Goth's cool name. A fan of hers penned last year: "Now I love her even more."
A second echoed the sentiment, writing: "Way more incredible tbh and i'm liking her even more," while another said: "This made me like her even more lmao."
