Fans of JoJo Siwa have been left somewhat alarmed after her partner Chris Hughes stated he was 'single' in a recent TV appearance.

Siwa and Hughes became close during their time on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year.

Following the show's conclusion, the 'Karma' singer and her partner, Kath Ebbs, announced they had gone their separate ways after splitting up at the Celebrity Big Brother afterparty, with both Siwa and Ebbs giving their sides of the story.

Siwa and Hughes initially struck up a ‘platonic’ friendship on this year’s CBB, before later confirming they were an item.

“It's not platonic any more, and it's been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I'm absolutely head over heels for him and he's the same way,” the Dance Moms star explained to The Guardian in June.

Since then, the pair have met each other’s parents, while Siwa began following her boyfriend's soccer team, Sunderland.

Fans of the celebrity couple have been left confused, however, after Hughes stated he was 'single' during an appearance on Celebrity MasterChef.

"So, I live on my own. I’ve been single for three years, so it’s not like I’m cooking for anyone," the Love Island star explained. "If I’m just cooking for myself, no one can appreciate it, apart from me.

"It’s quite sad really, isn’t it? I need someone there to show off to in the kitchen, I’ve got the judges."

Many fans flocked to social media to voice their concerns, with one person penning on X: "How long ago was this filmed? Chris had been with JoJo for ages and he says he’s single?"

The BBC say the series was filmed earlier this year, seemingly before Siwa and Hughes met on CBB.

Fans certainly have nothing to worry about after Siwa shared a series of pictures of herself and Hughes to her Instagram Stories on Thursday (November 27) to mark their sixth month anniversary.

"Wouldn't trade one day for anything," the content creator said.

Siwa has previously spoken on how Hughes made a good first impression on her family earlier this year, as she said on Sunday Brunch that her parents 'think the absolute world of him'.

"And him and my Dad are like best friends, Chris was actually telling me this yesterday, they went to the spa together yesterday." she added.

"They're literally best friends, Mom Siwa, she absolutely adores him. I love watching her watch us, because I've never seen my mom so happy, and it's... it's... I could cry.

"Honestly, it makes me happy to have everybody act as... it feels like we're a family, it feels like he's been in my family for however many years it feels like forever."
