Megan Thee Stallion 'speaks out' after AI-generated sex-tape found circulating online

Megan Thee Stallion 'speaks out' after AI-generated sex-tape found circulating online

Megan Thee Stallion has taken to social media amid news of an ai-generated sexually explicit deepfake video of her circulating online

Megan Thee Stallion has seemingly responded to news of an artificial intelligence-generated sex tape of her going viral online.

On Saturday (8 June) reports from several news outlets arose that the 'Sweetest Pie' musician had been spotted in a sexually explicit deepfake video used using artificial intelligence (AI) to look real.

Later in the evening on Saturday, Megan Thee Stallion - full name Megan Jovon Ruth Pete - took to her X account.

The 29-year-old wrote: "It’s really sick how yall go out of the way to hurt me when you see me winning.

"Yall going too far, Fake ass s**t. Just know today was your last day playing with me and I mean it."

And many fans have taken this as the rapper's response to the deep fake video of her which has been circulating the internet, with many flooding to her post in support.

One X user said: "Please sue them, we’re begging. We tired of them playing on your name."

"I’m so sorry that people are so f**king weird megan. just know we’re standing ten toes behind you no matter what. love you to the moon," another added.

A third commented: "Exactly Megan they really do too much…I hope you sue these l0sers!!"

And a fourth resolved: "They deserve everything bad coming their way. We stand with you Megan."

Megan took to the stage in Tampa, Florida later that day to perform, one Instagram user sharing footage of her 'fighting back tears' while performing 'Cobra' from her third studio album Megan.

While it's unclear why Megan grew so emotional on stage, fans have once again rushed to her defence, the hashtag #WeLoveYouMegan trending on social media.

One X user wrote: "I really need people to remember that celebrities are human just like everyone else. They have feelings too…they aren’t invincible. I can’t fathom being Megan & CONSTANTLY dealing w/ BS like this. Like my girl is strong, but she shouldn’t always have to be #WeLoveYouMegan."

Indeed, the rapper isn't the only celebrity to have found themselves targeted by deepfake technology, Taylor Swift, Gal Gadot and Emma Watson just some of a whole host of other creatives to have had their likeness used for sexually explicit deepfakes later shared to the internet, as per Prestige Online.

UNILAD has contacted Megan Thee Stallion's representatives for comment.
