Megan Fox calls out 'weirdos' after being slammed for asking fans to donate $30,000 to her friend

The Transformers star has once again hit out at 'weirdos' and 'psychos' online after she was subjected to backlash on social media.

Megan Fox has called out the 'weirdos' and 'psychos' online after she was slammed for asking fans to donate to her friend's GoFundme.

Megan, 37, promoted Brittney Boyce's fundraiser by sharing a screenshot of the GoFundMe page to her 21M followers.

Boyce’s fundraising page was requesting $30,000 to help with medical expenses for her father who has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The goal for the GoFundMe has since increased to $60,000.

The Hollywood nail artist and founder of Nails of LA explains in the GoFundMe description that her 64-year-old dad has been experiencing health issues, however, cancer ‘was the last thing we expected’.

She adds: “My dad is the [sic] literally the best person, dad, husband & grandpa this doesn’t seem fair. I know things are tough for everyone right now but if you’re able to donate or share it would really help.”

Megan Fox shared the GoFundMe on her own Instagram account.

Alongside the screenshot of the fundraising page she posted on Instagram Stories, the Jennifer’s Body star wrote: “My friend’s dad was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer if you guys are able to help please do.”

Fox’s fans were outraged after seeing her post, with many wondering why she presumably hadn’t offered to give her friend some of her own money instead of asking her followers. Fox is thought to be worth around $8M and she is engaged to musician, Machine Gun Kelly, who has an estimated net worth of $25M.

The outrage continued across social media, with fans on Reddit debating the topic of celebrities asking fans to raise funds.

“If I had as much money as her, I’d cover 100% of a friend’s parent’s medical expenses before I asked strangers to,” one person commented.

Another person suggested: “The wealthy should absolutely cover this. Sorry not sorry. Stop hoarding money and asking your much poorer fans to help.”

Fox is aware of the backlash and has addressed it in a scathing response.

The mum-of-three wrote: “Hey weirdos do any of you have the emotional intelligence to consider that maybe Brit doesn’t want her celebrity clients donating large sums of money to her because it creates a dynamic in her working relationships that makes her uncomfortable?

“So instead she asked me to post the GoFundMe so that many people could donate small amounts of money to help them reach their goal.”

Megan Fox responded to the 'weirdos' amid a wave of criticism.

She continued: “I just obliged her request anything she needs from me personally she will ask and I will do privately.

“One thing you’re not going to accuse me of is being miserly or lacking generosity.

“So try again on another day (probably tmrw! with some different bulls**t you bunch of psychos.”

The response comes not long after Fox criticised her followers for complaining about a sheer orange dress she wore.

“Before you start angrily typing – those are not my nipples, calm down,” the she wrote in the caption.

“They are safely and completely hidden under nipple covers so no worries, we will all live another day without a rip in the space-time continuum.
