Macaulay Culkin has claimed he has a strict set of rules for fans who spot him out in the wild.
Culkin is certainly no stranger to life in the limelight, having shot to fame as a young boy in the 1990 Christmas cult classic, Home Alone.
The 45-year-old award-winning actor has since gone on to gain credits in several other movies, including My Girl, The Good Son, Getting Even with Dad, and, more recently, in the anthology series American Horror Story.
Now a father-of-two himself, Culkin has revealed he has a stringent list of rules for his fans when they see him out and about.

Speaking on the SmartLess podcast, he revealed that while he loves his fans, he'd rather they keep their distance, especially when he's out with his young family.
"Don’t approach me when I’m at the dinner table. I don’t like that," he explained.
"Don’t approach me when I’m with my kids,” in reference to Dakota, four, and Carson, three, whom he shares with his partner, actress Brenda Song.

He also stressed fans should 'definitely' avoid following him, especially when in certain places like the bathroom.
The star said he has had to establish such strict boundaries after realizing he has control of interactions with the public in his everyday life, outside of events.
“I just realized that I’m in charge of the social contract,” Culkin said. “I’m in charge of the interaction. I can guide this interaction.”
His rise to stardom pretty much exploded overnight when he was just 10-years-old with Home Alone, which made him an internationally-recognised household name.
Years later, following Home Alone 2 and other successful movies, Culkin decided to take a pause in acting - to grow up and take time to figure out what he wanted to do.

He said he didn't really 'see the point' of going to college to get a degree 'in general', explaining how he didn't have 'that kind of bone in my body'.
On the Mythical Kitchen show, he elaborated further: "What I wanted was to be with people my own age.
“A lot of the stuff I did when I was a kid — I wasn’t doing ensembles. It was me.
“I wanted to go out. I wanted to date girls. I wanted to hang out with people my own age. I wanted to go to a party,” he added. “I can’t tell you how many bar mitzvahs I missed.”
