Rapper Lil Uzi Vert details plans to reinstall $24 million pink diamond in their forehead

It has been over five years since Do What I Want rapper Lil Uzi Vert had a giant pink diamond installed in their forehead and, despite the gruesome way it was torn out, the artist wants to put it back.

The Just Wanna Rock singer legitimately shocked the music world and, presumably, everyone around them, when they had the $24 million diamond implanted in the middle of their head in February 2021.

As you might expect, carrying more wealth in between your eyebrows than most people will ever earn in a lifetime is putting a literal target on your head, but Lil Uzi Vert managed to make it five months before fans ripped the 10-carat jewel from their skull.

Five years later and after recovering the diamond from sticky fingered fans at Rolling Loud festival, the rapper whose real name is Symere Bysil Woods has said they want the massive gem put back in their head, with a few modifications.

Of the head-ripping incident, Wood previously said they 'jumped into the crowd and they kind of ripped it out,' but adding that they 'still have the diamond, so I feel good.'

The 30-year-old rapper shared their plans to install new anchor points in their face to keep the $24 million piece of bling securely attached in an interview this week with Dazed, where they shared: "I've been getting some stuff mocked up, just to see if I could get, like, two anchors to hold it in my head,

"I'll come out with it soon, and I'll put it back."

Back when they got it implanted, Lil Uzi Vert explained their attachment to the rock, saying: "This one Stone cost so much I've been paying for it since 2017. That was the first time I saw a real natural pink diamond. A lot of M's in my face."

The artist also went to lengths to describe the body modification as a 'piercing', after their health insurance heard about the gem and tried to invalidate their cover.

Woods told the magazine: "They, like, tried to cut me off, my insurance before from that, and I'm serious.

"I had to explain to them that it's not self-mutilation. I need my insurance! I got family."

But with Woods having designs to improve their forehead 'piercing', that will mean having more subdermal implants of tiny metal bars with a thin wide base installed in their head to hold it in place.

Well, that's how these things normally work. But people do not normally get heavy 10-carat diamonds secured in the center of their face.

Speaking about the rapper's body mod in 2021, piercer Sean Dowdell told GQ: "A bigger, heavier gem risks bending the post or causing infection—in one of the better scenarios. The worst?

“If he got hit in the face, it would rip half his forehead off."
