Kelly Clarkson has opened up about using a drug to lose weight.
The subject of using certain drugs for weight loss - opposed to their original intended use - remains a controversial topic.
While celebrities such as Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson have publicly admitted to using a drug - called Ozempic - to lose weight, a US model has also spoken out slamming the improper use of weight loss drugs to 'keep up with the toxic standard of beauty'.

And the latest person to enter the conversation is singer and TV host Kelly Clarkson.
On an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show in conversation with Whoopi Goldberg, Clarkson praised the fellow TV host for looking 'younger' every time she sees her and being like 'Benjamin Button'.
Goldberg responded: "First of all, it's all the weight I've lost because I've lost almost two people."
Clarkson added she's 'lost a lot as well' before opening up about her weight loss journey.
Goldberg noted her weight loss is partly down to a 'wonderful shot that works for folks who need some help' - referring to the controversial Ozempic drug - a prescription drug that's used in people with type 2 diabetes but has since been used by some for weight loss instead.
Clarkson revealed she's actually used a 'different' type of drug which has led to her losing weight.
She continued: "I ended up having to do that too because my blood work got so bad."
Goldberg added such drugs are 'great' for people 'like [her and Clarkson]' who have 'issues' and Clarkson opened up about some of the misconceptions she's encountered in why people think she used such a drug.
The TV host said: "I was like, my heaviest, I was two or 300 pounds and I'm 5ft 3-and-a-half."
The singer explained many people 'presume' she must've been 'miserable or depressed' to have resolved to take the drug.
However, she said she 'was happy' with how she looked before but claims her doctor 'chased [her] for like two years' to consider it.
Clarkson said she initially refused to take the drug - which she notes isn't Ozempic but works similarly by breaking down the sugar in the body - because she already had 'thyroid problems' and was 'afraid'.
However, ultimately she later agreed and used a drug similar to Ozempic to promote weight loss.
