A romance is apparently blossoming between Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau after the pair were spotted sharing an intimate moment on a yacht.
Rumors began to circulate over the summer that the famous pop star and the former Canadian prime minister were more than just friends after they were spotted dining out together in Montreal.
Days later, the 53-year-old politician was seen singing along to 'Firework' at her concert in the Canadian city in July.
Then, in September, paparazzi appeared to capture a close moment between the pair as they sailed off the coast of Santa Barbara, California, on her 24-meter yacht.

In the images, Perry and Trudeau could be seen sharing a cosy embrace and what looks like a kiss.
The 40-year-old split from actor Orlando Bloom in June after a lengthy nine years together, six of which they were engaged.
Meanwhile, Trudeau, 53, finalized his divorce from his wife Sophie Grégoire in September 2023, with whom he shares three children.

According to a Cosmopolitan article on their 'relationship', the 'Dark Horse' singer and Trudeau had previously become acquainted 'at an event', while TMZ claimed that they'd been in contact for 'a couple of weeks after meeting at an event'.
While both celebs have been tight-lipped about the situation, a source has reportedly revealed to People that they share an 'easy connection’.
"When she first hung out with Justin, she wasn't looking to date, but they stayed in touch," they said. "They have many shared interests and a lot of talk about, but Katy was navigating too many things to even think about dating then."
After spending time with the 'California Girls' hitmaker amid her Lifetimes Tour in Montreal, the source further claimed that Trudeau has been 'pursuing her since'.

"He even flew to California to see her during a tour break. They have an easy connection. She finds him attractive. He's been very respectful." they said.
While aboard the impressive vessel on September 29, a tourist told the press that they spotted the A-lister and ex-Canadian leader 'making out', adding: "I didn't realize who she was with until I saw the tattoos on the guy's arm, and I immediately realized it was Justin Trudeau."
The insight comes as the father-of-three met up with Perry as they walked a dog before grabbing drinks at Taverne Atlantic in July. They also reportedly went for dinner at Le Violon the same night, with a representative for the restaurant telling People that the two seemed to have had a 'fantastic evening' together, adding: "They were super kind and friendly to the staff, and it was an absolute pleasure to have them at the restaurant."

At the time, a source told the outlet that the duo had an 'instant connection'.
"They are interested in each other, but it will take a while to see where this goes,” they said in August. “She is traveling around the world, and he is figuring out his life now that he is no longer prime minister of Canada, but there is an attraction. They have a lot in common.
"Both are idealists and still live in a world where they think they can make improvements, although it has gotten more difficult.”

Before the alleged budding romance, Perry was in an on-and-off relationship with Pirates of the Caribbean star, Bloom, 48, from 2016 to June 2025, with whom she shares a five-year-old daughter, Daisy.
Bloom himself has also reportedly acknowledged the dating rumors surrounding his ex-fiancée with an Instagram post.
