Justin Bieber issued a blunt response to his mother's prayer for her celebrity son to 'heal every wound' after fans grew concerned about the 'Baby' singer's recent social media activity.

Fans of Bieber have expressed their concerns about the singer in recent months following a number of bizarre posts on Instagram, with his mother, Pattie Mallette, also addressing the situation.

Captioning a post of a series of photos of Bieber, including one of the musician wearing a t-shirt with the words 'pray for me', Pattie wrote: "We’re cheering you on and praying for you always Justin.

"I declare freedom, strength, clarity, and healing over you Justin. Every chain of fear, confusion, heaviness, and pain—be broken in Jesus’ name."

She added: "Holy Spirit, surround him with truth, light, and protection. Heal every wound in his heart, mind and body, seen and unseen, restore what’s been stolen, and cover him in WHOLENESS.

"Fill him to overflowing with Your love and comfort. Continue to raise him up as a voice for Your Kingdom, unshaken and on fire for You Lord. Silence every voice that doesn’t come from You, and let his life be a bold witness of Your power, love, and healing grace. Say amen if you agree."

Weeks after the post, Bieber has issued a blunt response to his mother following the Instagram post.

"Only thing I need healing from is my rolled pinky toe from playing ping pong," the 'Love Yourself' singer said.

Many thought Pattie's post 'sent a message' to Selena Gomez following her wedding to Benny Blanco.

The 'Sorry' singer and Wizards of Waverly Place star dated from 2010 to 2018, with some people on the internet believing the post was a 'message' aimed at Gomez.

"His mom knew his feelings to Selena since her wedding is tomorrow," one person penned in the comments.

And a second added: "Nothing, it's just a Selena's wedding."

However, many were quick to offer their well-wishes amid fans' worry over Bieber's social media posts.

One fan wrote: "I'm sending you a big hug and I hope that one day people will realize they're fuelling a spiral of miscommunication and creating fabricated stories."

Just days before Pattie took to social media with those comments, Bieber detailed how faith helps him navigate the tricky parts of his life.

"Jesus teaches that our effort is simply a response to being gifted life and forgiveness," the singer wrote.

"Jesus becomes the prize.

"And growth becomes something you desire because of the grace we have received."
